I go the extra mile without charging you extra for it. Every one of my computer services includes a system tune up and driver update. If I have to open up your laptop or desktop case I always clean out the inside - blowing out the dust bunnies adds life to your computer and saves you from premature hardware failure. I do this for for my love of computers and technlogy, not because this is just a way to make money. I'm not trying to get rich, I'd rather save you money and get your problem solved in the process. My favorite part is when a client brings me a 10 year old computer on it's last leg and they decide to buy a brand new custom. I love the "wow factor" they experience when they realize they don't have to wait 10 minutes for their computer to boot up and documents and programs pop right up when you click on them. The short answer would be, as cheesy as it sounds, having my customers leave 100% satisfied.

Dan gave me excellent communications about what was wrong with my computer and my options. He easily fixed what the computer guys at Office Max could not fix in terms of a virus. He was courteous and serviced the computer in a timely manner. I will take any future tech problems to him for sure.

I was extremely hesitant to give the computer I built and record with to anyone but not anymore. Dan identified my problem very quickly (ran diagnostics and pinpointed my faulty CPU) and kept me in the loop as progress was being made. He is a very knowledgeable individual who went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable having him work with my computer. The computer world can contain an arrogant, condescending atmosphere but Dan never once exhibited this type of behavior. The job was done fast and thorough, the service was amazing, the quality was outstanding and the communication with him was terrific. I would recommend him to anyone. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience. I am never taking my computer anywhere else again!

Dan Burkett of CompuTek Services got in touch with me about my Dell Inspiron, which had been running rather slowly and was not allowing me to connect to the internet. Out of all the people who replied to my request on Thumbtack.com, Dan's reply stood out the most for me. He sounded extremely knowledgeable, was both professional and personable, and the amount he charged was within my budget. Because I had to be at work on the day and time that Dan was available to pick up my computer, I arranged for my husband to bring the computer to him. It took only a few days for him to solve my issue, part of which was caused by the need for more memory. He offered to install the additional memory, for a slightly higher yet reasonable charge. When I finally brought my computer home, hooked it up, and logged in, I was pleased to see that it was running faster than it had in years. Thanks, Dan, for doing such great work! I will certainly recommend you to my friends!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Do your research! Ask a lot of questions, even questions you know the answer to. Make sure they carry contractor's liability insurance as a minimum. Make sure you are comfortable with someone you are trusting to let in your home or work on your computer. If something doesn't feel right, it's not right.
