Matt arrived at the scheduled time to replace my garbage disposal. Upon checking the unit he said it was ok just a small blockage. He cleared it. Since he was already here I asked him if he would replace the kitchen faucet and a three way 1/4 turn shutoff that I planned on doing myself. He did . Matt did a fine job. I would recommend him . Thanks Matt

Manny is very kind, affordably priced, shows up and works hard every day as promised. Our project was many small areas in a hallway, kitchen, pantry, under appliances, half bath and a closet. His cuts are perfect and lines are straight, I couldn't be happier with his work. I will recommend Manny to anyone and will use him again in the future!

I am always hesitant on hiring someone directly, because you never know the type of person and quality of work you are going to get. I can say, if Kelsha offers his services, you will be more than impressed. He is extremely professional, punctual, has a strong work ethic, communicates very well and is very talented. His rates are very affordable and will work around your schedule. In fact, I am asking him to do some additional work. He is a very talented trim carpenter that installed cabinet & crown molding for us and some amazing drywall finishing. Jason J Beavercreek, Ohio

I cannot say enough about this man! With the help of Paul my house sold to the first person wo walked through the door!!! Before I put my house on the market I had a laundry list of things to do to get it "Market Ready" Paul tackled painting the interior of my entire hous nearly single handed!!! He painted almost every dore and baseboard in my house...fixed little things like anchoring air vents as well as big things like fixing my coat closet shelf and several door connectios that had worked their way loose over the years. Thanks soooooooooooo much Paul!!!

3/2017 TRICH SERVICES COLS.OH Mr. Rich…sorry it has taken me a second to write this review. I am so happy and pleased with the way my “new” kitchen turned out. It looks more beautiful than t thought. Going from a drab looking kitchen with an ugly color counter top, with out of date tiles for a backsplash. To a modern looking kitchen with a beautiful counter top and brick backsplash. I have had nothing but compliments on my new kitchen. It didn't take long to take out the old kitchen and put in the new kitchen. The days he quoted me it would take to finish the job…they were finished ahead of schedule. I love the the way the brick backsplash looked I asked if he could brick more of my kitchen. He said no problem and the additional work was finished in less than a day. Mr. Rich’s workers were the most accommodating and respectful workers I have meet. I plan to do more improvements in my home and I plan to contact and use TRICH Services again. Thank you sir for the great job. SINCERELY DONNA STEWART

Alan was the only person who responded to my drywall request and I’m so glad. I gave him my availability and he came over an hour to my house to give me an estimate. He went above and beyond my drywall needs and fixed one of my cabinet doors as well. He was very patient, professional and left my room looking exactly, if not better that how he found it. Going forward I will call him first before searching for another handy man. I highly recommend Alan.

WE HIRED THEM TO REPLACE THE TILE IN THE KITCHEN AT OUR AMVETS POST. THEY HAD TO WORK AROUND A LARGE GRILL AND FREEZER BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO LARGE TO MOVE THROUGH THE DOOR. THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK, WERE EASY TO WORK WITH AND HAD A FAIR PRICE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

Mid Ohio did several jobs for me. The first project was a shadowbox fence which turned out wonderful the dogs love being able to run around. Our second project was a 30 x 40 pole barn including insulation, electrical, concrete floor, and a driveway. Do to the amazing job Trent and his guys done we went ahead with a couple of smaller projects inside the house. The flooring in the living room, dining room, foyer, back hall, pantry, kitchen, half-bath, and laundry room were changed out to engineered flooring that my dogs have yet to scratch. After the floors both bathrooms were done including tiling the walls, flooring, putting in a shower, lowering a tub that the previous owner had built up so high that I needed a step stool to get into it, both vanities, light fixtures, toilets, mirrors, painting, and both exhaust fans. All the flooring looks absolutely amazing and what we wanted. Last but not least one of the most important things when remodeling is that they cleaned up the mess and I didn't have to clean anything when they left. These guys are great and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality job.

I met Darrell on a job site we were both subcontracting. He impressed me with his knowledge and his good work! After working with him and seeing his abilities in drywall, framing, interior/exterior painting, cabinet installation and flooring, I know this guy learned from someone who took the time to show him the right way to build things. Stand-up guy, respectful, take charge-attitude, hard-worker.

We have had the initial meeting with Dave and Greg on our kitchen remodel and deck addition. They were fantastic, easy to work with, and very honest on possibilities and potential cost. They listened to our needs and offered potential solutions that we feel will work. We are early in the process and look forward to the design.

Had him come to give our kitchen a facelift ended up having him re-do our Whole bathroom. He came in I told him ideas of what I wanted and he gave me options to fit my price range. Good quality work from an honestly guy who’s been doing this for 30+ years.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Do you tip cabinet installers?

In general, home service providers such as electricians, plumbers and contractors are professionals who don’t expect tips. They expect to do a job for you for the specific price they quoted. Of course, they may appreciate a tip for a job particularly well done or for which they’ve gone beyond what’s normally expected, such as completing the project early or under budget. Even better than a tip, it’s always appropriate to leave a positive review online after a good experience.

How much is custom cabinetry?

Custom cabinets can be built for any room, including bedroom closets and built-in armoires. Measured carefully and built precisely, custom cabinetry can increase storage and beautify any room. The national average for building custom cabinets ranges from $500 to $1,200 per linear foot. The cost is highly variable because there are so many styles, colors, glazes and other options. In general, the linear footage of the cabinets, the materials used to build them, and the cost of the labor will determine the cost. Solid wood costs more than plywood and wood veneer, and costs vary among different types of wood; maple and cherry cabinets are more expensive than pine. Glass-front cabinets can cost more, as can decorative hinges, handles and door pulls, which can cost $2-$45 each; choose carefully to stay within your budget and pull off the exact look you’re going for. Some carpenters also charge for installation, on average $100 per cabinet box. Additional molding and trim, such as crown molding at the ceiling, cost an average of $70 per 8-foot section, and adding finished ends to exposed cabinets averages $100-$200.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets installed?

In any kitchen, the cabinets are the main focus, so you want to make sure new or replacement cabinets are installed correctly. A professional carpenter can properly, securely mount new cabinets to the wall; the national average cost for this service is $7,725, although the cost varies widely depending on the type of cabinets, their material and their size, and the accessories you add. A typical fee is $70 per linear foot to remove existing cabinets and assemble and install new ones; the cost is less if you do the demolition and removal yourself. Stock cabinets are the least expensive to have installed, ranging from $75 to $400 each; semi-custom cabinets range from $150 to $900 each; and custom cabinets cost from $500 to $1,400 each. Wood cabinets are more expensive than those made from plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and finished with a laminate. Wood cabinets range in cost from $80 to $160 per linear foot. Laminate-finished cabinets cost $35 to $75 per linear foot, on average.
