I had the pleasure of attending the Illinois Trucking Association’s Annual Meeting & Expo in September 2024, where Raymont Harris delivered the Leadership Keynote.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard keynote fee is $10,000+ plus travel. Pricing can vary depending on the event, location, audience and scope of the engagement. I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, which can also create some flexibility for local opportunities. I’m always open to a conversation if there’s a strong fit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with a conversation to understand the event, the audience and what you want people to walk away with. From there, I tailor my Control the Controllables message to the challenges your people are actually facing. My goal is never to just show up and give a speech. I want the message to feel like it was built for the people in that room.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my degree in Communications from The Ohio State University, but most of my training comes from more than 30 years of performing, leading and working in high-pressure environments.
I spent seven years in the NFL, followed by nearly two decades in corporate banking and higher education development, where I helped raise more than $100 million. Those experiences became the foundation for the Control the Controllables framework I teach today.
I’m also the author of *Control the Controllables: Mindset, Pressure, and the Power of Control*.
