Joe is an excellent piano teacher. He is a very friendly and easy going person who makes learning piano fun and enjoyable. As an adult with a very busy complicated schedule, Joe is always flexible when is comes to scheduling lessons. If you're considering taking on piano lessons, no matter what your age and skill level, I highly recommend Joe. He'll be able to form the lessons around the skills you already have to take you in the direction you want to go.

I had the pleasure of taking voice lessons from Peg for ten weeks last summer. She is very helpful, patient, dedicated, positive, encouraging, and full of energy. I learned so much about how the voice works from her. The exercises that she taught allowed me to use muscles that I never thought I had. I didn't know I could reach such high notes. Even though I only had her for 10 lessons, my singing techniques vastly improved, and I walked away with the knowledge of how to improve my voice on my own. She is an amazing teacher, an awesome artist, and her passion for music is obvious. I definitely want to take lessons from her again. Peg is simply the BEST!

I've been taking vocal lessons with Natalia for almost one year. She's always very encouraging with just the right amount of constructive criticism when needed. Natalia has helped me update my sound to be more modern, worked with me to overcome various challenges and frustrations when singing certain songs. Her suggestions are always right on point. She's fantastic!

Tim is not only a great pianist, but also a great teacher. He's studying jazz pedagogy (how to teach jazz) and openly admits he loves teaching in a private setting. I've also followed podcasts about learning jazz improv and can say that Tim's teaching, pacing and energy is top of the line. I didn't think I'd be able to learn anything about piano after playing for 25 years (and even teaching a little) but after only a few lessons I'm starting to improvise! Amazing teacher. Thanks Tim!!

I've taken several bass guitar lessons from Dennis and the experience has been great. I wanted to be better player after playing for almost twenty years and he has definitely put me on that path. He was quick to assess my ability and develop lesson plans accordingly. He prepares for my lesson each week and has an excellent teaching method - definitely seeing results already.

I have taken singing lessons from Mrs. Sturgis for 3 years now, and I have seriously learned more than I ever thought possible. In just three years, I went from not really knowing how to sing (and only a very basic knowledge of musical notes) to preparing to take music lessons at a college level! And I owe it all to her. She is a phenomenal teacher and I couldn't have asked for a better one. She is incredibly knowledgeable, forever patient, completely dedicated, is always willing to explain things as many times as need be, and maintains an open and pleasant atmosphere which made learning not only educational but incredibly fun and rewarding. She is truly outstanding, and I would recommend her to ANYBODY who wants to learn about music and how to perform it.

I've known Paul for over 20 years. I was his student for 3-4 years back in the early 2000's. I became friends with him through my classical guitar lessons & we have been close ever since. I fell in love with his philosophy for teaching. It is so different (and simple). He asked me what I want to play, then proceeded to take me to that goal on the quickest path possible. He did't tell me I have to do this or that; play scales; learn elementary stuff and then advance from there. He just said "what would you like to learn to do?" Paul's gift is not in teaching people music theory or an instrument... his real and obvious gift is in his ability to "teach people how to learn". Then he simply guides you on your path of study. Paul, without doubt, is "one of a kind"

I have my masters degree in music education and have taught music in the schools and privately for 29 years. I have been taking ukulele lessons from Jake since this past Summer. Jake is an outstanding teacher and I am very impressed with his teaching and his excellent musical knowledge. He is very patient, encouraging, and makes each lesson interesting and enjoyable. He really listens to his students and continues to challenge and differentiate materials and lessons. As a fellow music educator, I cannot say enough good things about Jake Lowe. If you are looking for quality, Jake Loew is the go-to guy!

Heidi is an excellent piano teacher and is able to tailor lessons to individual style and music preference. She selects some of the best music which makes playing fun which leads to better performance. She has an excellent knowledge of theory and can explain it so anyone can understand. I love that she lets me tailor the program to my enjoyment level as well as skillset and she teaches in a very relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend her. I've been taking lessons for several years and plan to continue.

I took voice lessons from Amy for about 5 years. She greatly helped me in learning all the proper ways of breathing and all that goes into being a better singer. She also gave voice and piano lessons to 2 of my nieces and they loved Amy and looked forward to their lessons with her. She's very talented and uses her God given musical gifts to help others.

About

I've been studying music for ten years and giving informal lessons for seven years. I played guitar in the Columbus Youth Jazz Orchestra and have played guitar and bass for various rock and jazz gigs. More importantly, I have a talent for communicating and explaining the language of music, as well as the language used in instructional books and videos. The most complicated musical concepts and techniques can be made simple if they are broken down into smaller parts and practiced.

I believe I am very good at teaching, not simply because I understand the guitar, but because I understand the students. Looking forward to hearing from you. Happy Holidays!, Mark
