FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As an Independent Travel Agent, I am able to book the best rates and discounts with no fees passed off to my clients. I am affiliated with a large travel agency that provides discounts for membership. However, I can book for anyone and advise on travel no matter your location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out about the travel destination, the number of people traveling, the time frame, budget and the travel style for the trip. I can customize a trip that includes relaxing on the beach at an all-inclusive resort or the adventurous trip through several countries where you take rail, car, and plane and build your own itinerary. I like to find out the basic information and goals and then build out options and estimates from there. We can meet in a central location, video chat, or I can come to you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Firstly, some of my experience as a Travel Agent comes from real life experience in traveling. Just some of the areas that I can provide advice on are what airports to avoid, how to prepare to go through customs, how to pack, estimated costs and fees, how to build your itinerary, as well as how to avoid the lines at the most popular attractions. Also, when I'm booking a trip through a cruise line, hotel chain, or tour service, please know that I have received extensive training on that particular vendor and can use that knowledge to book you the best possible rates, discounts, and experiences. I have taken several courses on the topics of Hospitality and Tourism and I'm an eternal learner. My access to agent specific technology and booking platforms allows me to find you the best rates, discounts, and amenities. I also hold a B.S. in Biological Sciences and and M.S in Env Health and Safety Management.
