What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, We try to keep up with the new trends, laws, etc. in our field.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
We have two packages we offer, however our pricing is based on what county our couples' wedding venue is located in. For example if the ceremony is in Franklin County since we are located in Franklin it is going to be less that say if the ceremony is going to be in Hocking County.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I got married I was not allowed have what I wanted. I could not choose the wedding music I walked down the aisle to. I had to choose from 3 vows. I couldn't even have the reception I wanted. So I decided that when I became a minister I would allow my couples to choose their venue, vows, music, etc. I believe that it is the couple's special day and they should have what they want to make their special day memorable.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that we do for our couples are write ceremonies, officiate their wedding, coordinate their wedding rehearsal, help and/or suggest other vendor ( IE: wedding dress shops, Wedding Site Venues, etc.) or where to find ceremonial enhancement items ( IE: Unity Candles, Unity Sand and containers, etc.) and provide classes on how to make some other own items ( IE: Handfasting Cords). We also provide day of wedding coordination.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask questions. For example: How long have you officiated weddings? Do you require pre-marriage counseling before you will marry us? Can we write our own vows?
You want to make sure the officiant or anyone you hire is right for you. You never want to hire someone that you don't feel comfortable with.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Most of the time the Wedding Officiant/Minister is the least paid in the Wedding Profession Industry, but is one of the most important wedding professional a couple needs to book in order to get married. Without the officiant/minister the couple cannot legally get married.
