Introduction: My type of coaching is all inclusive. I'm not just going to come to your home for an hour and put you through your paces. My talents lie in using yoga as a gateway to motivate you to become passionate about multiple aspects of fitness. I love building long term relationship with my students, many of whom I'd count as friends. I love getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives on and off the mat.

My experience with her outdoor yoga instruction was very positive. Classes were generally hour-long sessions in the late afternoon through the summer months, weather permitting. She always brought something new to the session, a certain focus for us to work on, but was flexible enough to work within the group's comfort level while pushing to expand it. I left every class relaxed and looking forward to the next. She was very patient and worked within each individual's needs to make sure everyone was clear on not just what each position was, but the benefits and effects of doing it correctly (and what might happen if done incorrectly). At times, the location's ambient noise made background music problematic, but it wasn't detrimental to the class. Otherwise, I have little negative to say about the class. Highly recommended.

Doing yoga with Chrissie is a workout, an encouragement, a stress-reliever and an all around blast. Don't understand how a pose works? Chrissie will happily take the time to explain and demonstrate it to you without making you feel like an idiot. Can't quite do a pose? She'll modify it and help you believe that, with a bit of practice, you'll nail that pose soon enough. Want someone to push you without causing you pain? She will absolutely do that. Want to practice with someone who cares, truly cares, about you and your well-being beyond that yoga mat? That would be Chrissie.

Chrissie has been my yoga instructor since November 2014. Before I went to her class, I was a complete novice. Chrissie, both kind and patient, has helped me establish a strong base and continues to challenge me to improve and strengthen my practice. She's a terrific teacher and I would recommend her to anyone.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been practicing yoga since I was 16, a couple years ago I found my way into teacher training. Yoga has changed my life by awakening me to the idea that each time I roll out the mat I'm moving myself closer to the person I want to be. I want to share that feeling of accomplishment and growth with others.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently taught a 15 minute "yoga break" at a full day conference for a group of employees at Nationwide Children's Hospital. They'd been sitting and listening to lectures all day, it was so much fun to get them on their feet and moving.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Yoga teachers are deeply passionate people who care about our students, our fellow teachers, our community, and our own practice. Many of us, myself included, discover a passion for teaching and want to share what we know with as many people are possible.
