With a BA in Music Performance and a MA in Music Education, I teach violin, piano, and theory lessons at my studio in Dayton, Ohio at a reasonable charge. I teach on a grand piano for the highest quality and to accommodate higher level students. I also teach online Skype lessons for those interested.

Noel is an exceptionally talented and creative music teacher who understands how to connect with her students. We were skeptical that online music lessons could keep our daughters' attention while motivating and inspiring them to want to learn. However, after each lesson with Noel, they want to practice and improve and they look forward to the next session. But don't be fooled by her soft-spoken demeanor. Noel is a fantastic teacher. Her enthusiasm for music is infectious. I had previously taken piano lessons as a child, but I hadn't played in over 15 years. Noel took the time to learn where I was with my skills and set a personalized pace. She is very flexible and can make scheduling changes.

Noel has been a great piano teacher for me. This is my first time trying to learn piano and she has made it fun and easy to pick up. She moves at a learning pace that is perfect for me - not too fast, but not too slow either. She is extremely knowledgeable about piano and music in general and she can talk everything from the basics of piano to music theory. Having played the saxophone for years, it keeps me interested in learning piano. She also uses a good mix of learning “fun songs” with exercises so that I can improve mechanics/technique while also still finding it enjoyable. You can tell that she cares about my progress. I really enjoy my weekly piano lessons with Noel, it is money well spent.

Noel is my daughter’s piano and recently violin teacher. She has a schedule for each session and knows exactly what she is going to do. She is a valuable teacher who follows academic teaching style that I really love. She teaches a lot more than she charges with the best quality . Noel understands kids very well and always encourages my daughter and made her a punctual girl in her music practice. My daughter jumped from piano to guitar, came back to piano and changed a couple of teachers before Noel and she is very happy with Noel. Noel’s timing is flexible and she tries her best to set the best time that works for us. My daughter really loves her and learns a lot. She eagerly follows lessons and practices without me reminding her, which is unusual for my daughter! Today morning, I woke up with her piano practice and I got SO excited. Thanks to Noel!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are relatively low when it comes to private music lessons. Lessons are paid for monthly at the last lesson of each month for the following month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work out a weekly lesson time that works best for both of our schedules. I will offer any materials that the student may need. I'm also happy to make instrument recommendations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed my bachelor's degree in music performance and my master's degree in music education. My passion is teaching private violin and piano lessons, so I have been doing that almost all my life!
