- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I ask that materials are purchased by client and 50% of labor be paid up front. Reasoning -- if materials are purchased by client, they have full disclosure on what was paid - no markups!

Various journals, magazines, and talking with inspectors when needed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started by doing clean up work on job-sites on my off days to earn extra money. I worked up to building walls and then building structures.
