I love officiating at weddings! My goal is to help you create the perfect and unique ceremony that will make your day special and memorable. Here are some of the services that I offer:
An extensive database of services, readings, prayers, vows, and blessings from a wide variety of religious traditions as well as non-religious services and readings. You can use one of these services as is, or use all of these resources to develop your own unique wedding ceremony.
Assistance in developing a wedding ceremony that is tailored to your beliefs and personal preferences. I have performed over 150 wedding ceremonies from a variety of religious traditions as well as a variety of non-religious ceremonies.
Same-sex and second marriages are welcome
Preparing all legal documents required by the state of Ohio
Directing the wedding rehearsal
Performing the wedding ceremony within the greater Miami Valley area
Up to two meetings (excluding the rehearsal and wedding) and as many phone calls, emails and texts as necessary to plan the perfect ceremony for you!
My charge for all of this is $150. I look forward to hearing from and working with you!
I love helping to make each couple's wedding day very, very special. I enjoy getting to know them and seeing their excitement as they create their own ceremony. I enjoy the relief that they experience when they know someone is there to help them. I am always touched when I see their happiness on their wedding day, and the satisfaction they experience as they see the ceremony that they created unfold before them.

Michael was a pleasure to work with! Meeting prior to the ceremony for my son & future DIL, he provided them with many options, experience and suggestions. The ceremony was beautiful and presented well.

Mr. Kersh got in touch with us right away, met us for coffee, and we just had a CHARMING time laughing and talking with him, getting to know him. He asked us a lot about ourselves, about what is important to us, what kind of wedding we wanted, what would be most meaningful to us. It was wonderfully clear that he would personalize the ceremony in whatever way he could to make it unique to our relationship, unique to our situation in life, and unique in respect of our religious beliefs.
After meeting Mr. Kersh and being so comfortable with him, we hired him immediately. There was just no question in our minds. And we are SO GLAD we did!
He promptly sent us sample readings, blessings, and wordings, both scriptural and secular, that he thought we might like. With his ideas and a few of our own, the three of us were able to prepare a love-filled, joyous, fun, meaningful and sacred service for our wedding.
Mr. Kersh is a no-fuss man and a fabulous communicator; bless him, he was absolutely unflappable (even when we were nervous and excited), he laughed and chatted with us and generally just made us feel we were old friends.
And it was very important to us - we are still talking about this - that he clearly SHARED OUR JOY! He made it beautifully plain that he was thrilled to be there with us, to witness our vows and our love as we sealed ourselves in marriage. Hire this gentleman.

We had such an amazing, effortless time with Mike. He truly took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple and apply that to our service. We never felt pressured to do things a certain way but instead felt comfortable creating a service that was special to us. Unlike the several horror stories I've heard from other brides, the creative process for our service was simple and fun. Mike sent us many helpful resources that we used to pick and choose from to create our ceremony on our time. We are so thankful to have found him and would do it again in a heartbeat!
