Pat took out our old basement staircase and built a new one. He gave us a quote on Wednesday and completed the work on Friday. Our space was limited since we have an older house. So, he custom built the stairs on site. The stairs are very sturdy and look great.
Services provided by Ed and his team were Sheetrock installation, finishing and painting. Him and his crew were all courteous, proffesional, timely and reliable. Ed was very responsive to or needs and requests, i certainly will work with him again.
Had a complete basement rebuild. Was more than impressed with Danny's ability to take my less than organized vision for the finished product and bring it to fruition. Danny has a tremendous work ethic and desire to satisfy his customers. I asked for a style not typical around Columbus that I discovered while living in the western U.S. And Danny not only captured it but put in extra time to meet my expectations. I highly recommend Danny and his staff for your framing and drywall needs. The only thing more impressive than his work ethic is his affable and trustworthy personality!
Mike was very professional and arrived on time. He did an amazing job painting our living room and bathrooms. He also did a great job repairing some water damage we had on the ceiling and walls. He was very efficient and easy to work with. He even offered to help fix our two bathroom doors that were not fitting correctly in the door frame and kept sticking. I was amazed how clean everything was once he left! My husband and I have worked with several contractors and handymen in the past and I can honestly say I have never worked with someone as good as Mike. I will definitely be recommending him to my friends that live in the area and hire him for future jobs. I’m so happy we have found a good handyman we can trust.
Wow! Tony and his crew are amazing. They completed a 10 ft. Length X 9 ft. Height X 5 ft. Width basement bathroom tile installation and trim finish. It was floor to ceiling white subway shower wall tile with black grout, natural stone shower base, and slate room floor. They are very detail oriented and professional. It looks amazing! If I need future work completed I will have Abstract Homes complete the work again. If you get a chance, definitely hire them.
My Husband meet with contractor we're still working out details!
I cannot say enough about this man! With the help of Paul my house sold to the first person wo walked through the door!!! Before I put my house on the market I had a laundry list of things to do to get it "Market Ready" Paul tackled painting the interior of my entire hous nearly single handed!!! He painted almost every dore and baseboard in my house...fixed little things like anchoring air vents as well as big things like fixing my coat closet shelf and several door connectios that had worked their way loose over the years. Thanks soooooooooooo much Paul!!!
Over the past two years Dennis has done several repair and upgrade jobs in my home. I have been completely happy with the end result of all work done. My first encounter with Dennisâs handiwork was following an unfortunate experience where an icemaker water line had been incorrectly installed in the floor along with some new bamboo flooring. The water line leaked and caused extensive water damage to my kitchen and living room flooring. He discovered that, #1, the new subflooring was incorrectly installed and (#2) the water line for the icemaker was inadequate, had been damaged during installation and not been connected properly. He installed a new copper water line in a safer location with a safety shut off at the source and another shutoff behind the refrigerator, put down new subflooring and reinstalled my bamboo flooring as though it had never been taken up. Dennis also installed all new custom interior doors throughout my residence as well as a reclaimed solid wood door with a full window that leads to my balcony. Three other contractors had told me that this door could not be installed and that I should just purchase a new door. It now looks great and is just what I wanted! Another project was removing some old, outdated, ceramic tile that surrounded my fireplace and served as a hearth (not an easy job). I chose some natural stone to replace this and extended the âhearthâ area the full length of the wall. He did a beautiful job! Other projects DA BARND Construction has done for me include a complete removal of popcorn ceiling with retexture and paint; window, door and base trim; they oversaw new carpet installation; replaced all electrical outlets and switches, as well as installing some additional outlets and switches; full room paint jobs; bathroom remodel; and currently extending my deck. Dennis has proven to be honest and forthcoming in all my dealings with him. I feel that he is really an advocate for me, trying to give me the best deal but also providing quality workmanship. He shows up on time, cleans up his worksite and is very professional. I intend to hire him again and again and highly recommend him above any other contractor. I donât worry about the quality of his work. If itâs personal service you need⦠Salvage a stalled remodel project⦠Someone reliable... This is the guy!
I requested Drywall estimate for a ceiling removal in the kitchen (old drop ceiling with the plastic sheets for Florescent lighting ) . Kelsha responded quickly and personnaly showed up to introduce himself. I quickly realized Kelsha was more than just drywall contractor. His work and helper were there when they said and performed perfect in removal of many parts of the home I was remodeling. We did total bathroom remodel as well as walls removed throughout the home. They cleaned up everyday they were on the job and never had to question anything. Kelsha was so talented in Finished Trim, Drywall, and general construction all the stress of the multiple projects in the home Kelsha performed always in a professional way. Always was the early man on the job and kept in touch thruout with other trades to cordinate the work load . Kelsha would constantly call to inform me of progress and what I needed to purchase to keep the flow moving forward. I forgot to mention his ability in framing walls whenever needed which I found myself needing during the remodel. We added and removed multiple walls and Kelsha finish work made them all look as if they never happened. I strongly recommend Kelsha Speedlimit Construction for all your drywall , framing and finish Carpentry jobs. Small or large you will be happy with Kelsha on the job.
I hired Greg with “If I had a Hammer” back in November 2016 for a complete bathroom remodel, new siding, new electrical and plumbing and several other renovation needs for a bank owned home I purchased. I tried to get multiple bids from different contractors that specialized in different work that was required but Greg was the only contractor that assured me his company could handle all of my project needs in one bid. I had a strict budget and only expected to get the essentials handled because I knew the cost of each project. Not only did Greg go above and beyond on the bathroom remodel but he did so many extra tasks around the home that completely brought my house together. He literally treated my home as if it was his (a lot of contractors will say they will do this but HE actually did). I have to tell this one example because I think it says so much about what kind of contractor & person he is. I had to have a mold remediation specialist come in for mold in my basement/garage (the only other contractor that I used) and I was unable to oversee their work due to other obligations. Greg came to the house to check on the job and saw that they were doing an extremely poor job. He took pictures of their work and sent it to me. This was a huge deal because I would never have second guessed the remediation myself since I was unfamiliar with it. I asked them to come back and asked Greg if he would oversee it for me. My basement is beautiful and entirely clear of mold because of his efforts. I highly recommend “If I had a Hammer” for all of your project needs. Greg himself is a man of few words lol so don’t let that throw you off, BUT I can promise you he is trustworthy, hardworking and genuinely loves to doing the work that he does – which is a rarity. You will NOT regret hiring him.
I had deck repairs and painting performed. Rick came out and gave me the quote. We went with Ozmar because of the gut feeling. They were not the lowest bid, not the highest, but felt comfortable with them. They started the project and upon repairing the deck found sections of rotted wood/carpenter ant nest. They redid these sections and you would never know by looking as it was an exact match. They painted the entire deck (this is a large deck with a pergola). The crews were great and they left the area clean when they left. I would highly recommend Ozmar Field Services to my friends and neighbors. They truly cared about my satisfaction and that really meant a lot!
I needed work done to prepare my home for sale; it was in Powell. I had three contractors bid on the jobs; on all jobs, Mark was the lowest or near the lower amount. The work included basement work, backyard decking, and sub- flooring. I was extremely pleased with the work that was done, and the quality of his work was reflected in the sale price and comments of those that saw the home.
Jeff was very professional. He took care of everything. All I had to do was call in a claim with my insurance, and then he met with them and was able to get me a whole new roof, new siding, and new gutters. My house looks so much better now, and my only expense was my deductible. Thanks Jeff!! I would recommend him to my friends.
Jared has been great. We initially hired him to do a drywall repair, and kept adding projects to our list which he happily took on and did extremely well. He has made our home renovation much less stressful and much more successful.
Total bathroom remodel on my 1920s home. Completely new design, new fixtures, porcelain tile floor, drywall, baseboard, paint, etc. He enlarged our bathroom drastically by taking 2/3 of a walk-in closet and installed a beautiful tile shower. BEST PART: our gorgeous custom handcrafted live-edge wood vanity!!! Joel has an art degree and it SHOWS!! We're getting so many compliments. Also the tile floor is PERFECT and he worked with us to source quality materials that fit our budget. He's also better at communicating with us than other contractors we've known. He really cares about his work and was realistic about estimates and time frames (the job took longer than we expected but he was upfront every step of the way). If you're tired of "big-box" decor and want something unique, we definitely recommend Joel for design, remodeling, and custom work!
Took down a drop ceiling, installed recessed lighting and drywall ceiling. quote was given and work completely quickly within 2 weeks. Owners were onsight often and made a repair on part of the project I did not notice. Price was reasonable and the work was done very well.
Brad has finished our basements (2 different homes) taking them from concert and block to beautiful living spaces. From designing and framing in the layout to optimize living space and storage, to completing the finer details of finishing work, he was precise, displayed expert craftsmanship, and cleaned up afterwards. Because he was precise in his measurements and excellent in his craftsmanship there very little if any wasted materials saving both time and money. His work ethic is the best I have seen from any other contractor and he completed both jobs within the designated timeframe. Nothing went wrong and the only thing I could see Brad doing better in the future is an enclosed 3-season room of our great room.
Matt helped us out after contractor walked from the job. He was efficient, professional and quick to finish our one bathroom remodel. He took the time to make sure he addressed our concerns and not only did a great job but was fairly priced. Would recommend !
Jason did a FABULOUS job with our requests of painting the entire downstairs, two bedrooms, and putting up a chair rail around our entire living room. He came recommended by many friends. We will certainly call him again for future projects- crown molding, basement remodeling, etc. I HIGHLY recommend him!
I initially contacted Mike to install and finish drywall and replace insulation that was in poor repair. Following the successful completion of that work I decided to have Mike do some wallpaper removal, painting, and other minor drywall repair work in my home. Mike developed a great working relationship with me and was always willing to take on projects and complete them to meet my expectations at a fair price, even when done on a time and material basis. Overall I am very happy with Mike's work.
Quoted a 2 week substantial renovation including demolition and reconstruction of a 1930s home wall and foundation that was in need of major repair. Actual construction took 9 days and I was still able to live in the home as normal while construction was being performed. Kept continous communication on a daily basis with me via phone call, text, and email. All quotes at the start of the project were met and nothing was over budget. If you would like one of the friendliest and most prompt contractors in the area contact Lloyd. We are very happy with our renovation. He will go out of his way to make your project correct and there are no corners cut. You will have a professional construction project. Next spring I plan on having another project quoted and performed by Lloyd due to how happy we are. Sincerely, Jonathon Vince
