Michael contacted me right after I had posted a request for work on my bathroom. His initial offer seemed fair and he was friendly and professional upon initial contact. I asked Mike if he could repair some drywall in my half bathroom and apply a coat of primer. He did an excellent and timely job in doing so and also added caulk to areas that needed it along the floor boards. His attention to detail was apparent in the quality of work he provided. In addition to the work Mike did on my bathroom, he also went above and beyond with patching up carpet that my dog had destroyed. While the work could have been easily done in one day, the mud used for the drywall required the time to dry before sanding could be completed. He maintained constant contact with me regarding the status of the projects as well as following up on when he would arrive for work. Mike's flexibility with my schedule was very much appreciated and he also did a great job with the clean up. I look forward to consulting with Mike on future projects.

I would advise against using this individual. Unless Mr. Lewis has suffered some type of event, He was unreliable. He had responded to my request for service, was significantly lower on his bid. We spoke, at length about the work to be done, then that was the last that I heard from him. He was the one who statd he would come by my residence, but he never showed. He also never responded to phone calls. I have since found another installer who followed up, as promised. His review is forthcoming. I would be interested in seeing if a rebuttal would be submitted, as was evidenced in another customer's critique. Barring any illness on Mr. Lewis' part, I would not recommend.

First of all to leave a review or feedback like this is very repulsive and offensive. We spoke on the phone and had set up a meeting a week later. From my understanding you had not even chosen a floor material yet,a starting date,nor a contractor.So dont critique my work or my work ability without meeting me first or looking at my previous work. Some situations come up that are just out of ones control(as in my situation). I am definitely glad i did not show up to your house and meet with you. You have no right to slur or suggest in any way that my workmanship or work abilities are far less of that, than any other contractor. To suggest or make any assumption about me or my business from just a phone conversation,just goes to show the immaturity of the person I would have been dealing with if I would have done your job. I would never consider critiquing, slurring,slander or judge another person based on a phone conversation. Shame,Shame on you sir!!!

We hired Mike Lewis to remodel our bathroom. First, I would like to say mike has been a God send to our family! He contacted me promptly and arrived at the scheduled time. The estimate he gave came in at lowest bid. He started on the bathroom promptly and has completed top quality work. Mike has went above and beyond what we expected. He remodeled the bathroom and did several other odd jobs for us. He is very personable and went the extra mile to make our elderly mother feel comfortable. We have other projects that mike will be doing for us. In the spring, we will also have Mike of Newlook Construction complete the interior painting of our house. Very unprofessional. Kept delaying it for a week. Finally showed up but then disappeared again saying "he is going to get his tools". Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

There are always three sides to every story, yours,mine and the truth. I gave the gentleman a bid to put down a laminate floor thru kitchen, living,hallway areas.This included removal of existing floor.Price was agreed on,and I wasn't supposed to start till second or third week of December. He buys flooring then tells me will be ready to lay the third week of December. He then calls me back a week later saying he changed his mind doesn't want that flooring.So he takes it back and gets another flooring type,then calls and wants me now to start on the first week of December. I guess he wants me to drop everything and come to his house while im already booked up thru middle of December. Long story short i show up Monday the 15th of December and theres 25 or 30 boxes of real tongue and groove wood flooring laying in his living room with no mention of paying more for this floor. Laminate flooring goes down alot easier with no nailing and very seldom any glue. Real wood floors ,twice as hard and definitely longer process. So if you're a contractor, make sure you know what you're getting into with this client.

We hired Mike to do some interior painting and lay some hard wood floors. Mike ended up with several other small projects as well. He did a fantastic job. We will definitely utilize his skills again. Very friendly, honest, and does great work. I am more than pleased with the outcome.

I'm always reading and online checking out the newest and latest materials and equipment that are out there that will help my work look better,last longer and save the homeowner time and money!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was decided for me by my dad and his dad and his dad.lol. 3 generation of carpenters/remodelers. I love my line of work!!
