I decided to use a pet sitter for the first time on my recent business trip. Previously using various kennels and finding friends to take care of my dogs. I am very happy with Furball Fitness! I got updates on every visit and a picture of them. The dogs were happy when we returned and not stressed like in previous situations. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend it.

Allison took wonderful care of our two cats while we were gone during Christmas break. She sent us daily updates with photos which put us at ease and always made us feel that our cats are well cared for and happy. She is very considerate and easy to work with and we are definitely going to use her services in the future! I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone in need of a pet sitter, she loves animals and she seems to thoroughly enjoy taking care of them.

Brenda is great! She has watched my 3 pets multiple times now, even doing overnight stays to care for my puppy (who likes to bark). She actually spends quality time with your pets unlike other sitters I've tried in the past. Thank you Brenda for your help, the pups and Emma will miss you when we move!

Denise was amazing! She stayed in our home caring for our 2 dogs and 1 cat for 4 days. The animals absolutely love her! She has a kind gentle spirit which really calmed our normally hyper pups. We came home to well cared for pets & an immaculate home. We have already asked her to sit for us next month. Denise is the best!!

Review: Tim Bruno, Pack Boss LLC Tim was my dog sitter and trainer for several years. If I could have brought him to Colorado with me, I would have! The dogs enjoyed him – good runs/walks, other dogs and people to play with (and Tim made them all mind their manners). He’s reliable and sends quick updates while one is gone. Tim helped me work through some behavioral issues with one of my dogs who started biting people, and even wrote an affidavit for the court appearance. Tim is also a veteran – you’ve trusted him with your life and freedom, now trust him with your pets.

Jody was the best cat sitter I could ever have asked for! She came twice a day to feed my kitten and spent a lot of time playing with her everyday. Her price was the best for the quality of care she provided. I highly recommend her to everyone

We were just blown away at what a wonderful job Carol did taking care of our dogs and our home this past week. She asked if there were any special projects that she might do while she was taking care of the dogs. We had quite a few presents under the tree but many of them still needed bows. We had ribbon, just not the time to finish up. Carols bows are absolutely spectacular, I would like a lesson! She also placed beautiful flowers in the kitchen and the house looked better than when we left. The most important thing, Carol took excellent care of our pups. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Carol a 10 AND a call the next time I need a dog/house sitter.

Ashley is very dedicated to her job. She took care of my cat for a month in an excellent way. We were constantly in contact, and she sent me pictures and videos of my cat to show me how she was doing. My cat loves her now. She was also so very nice to water my plants. I highly recommend her as a cat sitter.

Anna takes excellent care of Pippa, my 1 year old golden retriever, and I don't have to worry about her at all while we're gone. She's one of the VERY few people I trust to care for my fur-baby! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible pet sitter in the area.

We are currently using Pawsitively Pampered Pets for daycare for our 8 month old pitbull, Atlas. Since Atlas is still a puppy, he needs to be entertained during the day so he will actually sleep at night. We were also looking to have him interact with other dogs during the day. Pawsitively Pampered Pets is just perfect for what he need. Initially, Amber invited us over to meet her, her husband, and her son prior to signing up for daycare. We also met the 3 resident dogs of the household and Atlas got to sniff around the house. When we dropped Atlas off the first time, he whined at the door and was so excited to go in. When we picked him up his tail was wagging and he seemed as happy as could be. Thanks Pawsitively Pampered Pets!

I offer reliable, trustworthy business for anyone who needs deep cleaning or organizing. I also offer house sitting, animal sitting and any sort of animal care.

I am a pet sitter. I love animals and treat everyone like my own. I have experience in the veterinary industry, and I've been a groomer, bather, and kennel tech. I will walk dogs, bathe, groom, feed, play, take great care of them, and watch them during the day (pet sitting).

I visit a clients home free of charge to meet the pets I will be taking care of and tour the property. I take down instructions such as any special meds pets need, special diets, and emergency numbers to contact. I then visit the pets as many times a day as requested or even stay overnight in some cases. I keep a clients home with a "lived in" look while they're away and comfort their pets with play time and feedings. I sometimes run errands for clients such as grocery store trips and medication pick ups.

Your pets mean a lot to you and it is important to know that they are being taken care of while you are away! Finding a good place to board them is a long and painful process! Why not leave your pets at home where they are comfortable and safe. You and your pets will be happier for it! I love animals. I have had many types of pets growing up and have a lot of experience caring for all of them! Dogs, cats, small mammals (rabbits, hamsters), fish and even iguanas! I offer: * Daily visits - feeding, medication, poop scooping and play. * Daily walks for dogs * House sitting - set garbage out, collect mail, etc. * Low rates I would love to keep your pets company while you are away! We've been in business since 2007. We're fully bonded and insured. We provide loving and professional pet care. We're serving the areas of Worthington, Westerville, Lewis Center, Powell, Dublin, Galena, New Albany, Blacklick and Gahanna.

I really love being around animals and caring for them. I've always have had dogs and I've done house sitting for my aunt and others and have never had a complaint.

    I am detailed oriented.

I've been volunteering doing housecleaning and pet care for 4 years now, and I want to make it into a business. I've been working odd jobs along with my volunteer work. I never sit pets at my home because I cannot, but I can do many things. I prefer to meet some time before the job, so you can get to know me, and if I'm doing pet care, I would like to meet the pet(s) first. What I can do are as follows: - overnight care in the home - pet cleanup - cage cleanup - dog walking - pet bathing - sweeping, dusting, etc. I also do many more within reason. I like to have all information upfront. I let my customers pick the pay.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

    • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
    • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
      • 45-minute visit: $28.
      • 60-minute visit: $32.
    • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
    • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
      • 12 hours: $100.
      • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.

He's a 1 and a half year old boxer. We've had an unexpected bump in our life that has caused us to be away from home more than we would like. The intention would be to continue this for longer than this one time. We do not want our dog to start feeling resentment due to this adjustment.
