Some of best paint work. Super detailed and the best for hard wood floors. Robert knows his skill. Passionate and one of the most honest painters. But he can do more than painting so dont put him inside a box. Take his wisdom to heart if he advises products based on work your getting done.

Great job! Larry was professional and quickly completed the job. I will definitely be a return customer as well as recommend him to family and friends. I especially love the fact that he was neat and clean which is not always the case with painters and contractors. Job well done!

Amazing. Micheal is extremely knowledgeable on multiple painting techniques and finishes. She is thorough and focuses on the small details to ensure the project is complete; when she left I did not have to do any of the little things that I have had to do with other painters like, clean the baseboards or re-caulk the trim... She also did a custom hand painted design in my kitchen that I absolutely love. I will absolutely call Micheal again with the next painting or flooring project.

We hired Blair's General Contracting to install window blinds and shades in our house. Not only they installed them quickly and beautifully, they also pinpointed the ones that had damaged pieces and needed to be replaced. We will definitely be hiring them again for other projects around the house. Shawn promptly responded to all messages and was very easy to schedule an appointment with.

I’m not one to normally write reviews, but after the experience we had with Paint & Rollers I really felt compelled to share the experience we had. After 26 years in our house, we decided it was time to renovate the majority of our main level (kitchen, dinette, bathroom, family room, office, entranceway/hallway and stairs. We settled on a general contractor for the majority of the work, but really wanted to find another option for the painting portion – which also included removing some wallpaper from the kitchen/dinette and bathroom. We interviewed a few painters, got some very good price offers and then decided to hire Ameer and Adam Guzman of Paint & Rollers. They were not the lowest price – but they weren’t that far off. But the reason we chose them was not only the reasonableness of the offer, but their attitude toward us as their client – and that we were as important to them as the job. And our project was not going to be the easiest task for any company to schedule. Essentially it was going to require three main stages – a) the initial wall paper removal before the renovation work started. The main painting mid-project and then the final touch-ups after the main renovation work was near total completion. That span approximately 2 ½ months – yet, Paint and Rollers were totally committed to working with our needs – with no affect or change to the proposed contracted price. Then the project started and as good as they were in putting together an offer that was designed to work with us, their work was even better. The wallpaper removal and priming and ceiling stage went flawlessly (and believe me, the wallpaper was pretty firmly entrenched). But Ameer and Adam led their crew through the work and it was completed right on schedule. Wallpaper was removed, walls were prepped for the next stages and the contractor was able to proceed on the renovation without delay. Ameer and Adam worked well with the renovation crew – in fact the General Contractor was impressed enough to begin using their services for future project they would have. Topping off the project, the quality of work done by Paint & Rollers was excellent. Their attention to detail has given us a house that looks like a showroom. They made sure everything was perfect. Too bad there isn’t anything past 5 stars, because they deserve a 6 or even a 10 for the work they did. Need a paint job, check them out, you won’t be sorry, in fact you’ll be more than pleased.

Price was fair. It was more difficult than I think it should have been to get scheduled, but the painters did a nice job and were professional (on-time, taped things off well, protected carpet, cleaned & locked up when finished). I would hire them again for future painting needs.

Craig was on time for our 9 am appointment. He quickly diagnosed the leak I had around my window as a crack in the stucco. He caulked it and as a preventive measure the entire window frame. His price was reasonable and he gave me a quote on another job I asked him about. I recommend Craig.

We could not be happier to have found Al on thumbtack. He not only helped us decide how much wallpaper to order, but he was very responsive to my questions and helped make himself available on a time that fit our busy schedule. The finished product is amazing and we are thrilled with the quality of work. We will 100% ask for Al's help with all future painting and wallpapering projects.

Daniel is very professional and patient. He did such an excellent job that we have other jobs in line for him and he is a definite 5 star professional! He is very trustworthy and reasonable and I now feel like he’s part of our extended family. In fact, I have recommended him to my family and friends and he is our designated painter from now on. He has extensive experience in his craft and he provided us with useful recommendations. He sanded and painted dents and holes in the walls. He’s great at both interior and exterior painting which will increase the value of our home.

Dave lost a bid from me on another paint job because I didn't think he had enough reviews. I learned later when I hired him for another paint job that he has 22 years of experience - and he's a perfectionist - something you want in a painter. He arranged his schedule to meet my needs (called him on a Tuesday to schedule for a Friday before I moved in). He painted a kitchen wall around windows and there is zero blue paint on the trim...only reform the previous hack jib by the former owner. He also painted two bedrooms...again he is a perfectionist and I've never seen neater painting. I also think he's reasonably priced and very amiable. I would highly recommend. I'll ask him to post pics of the job he did for me.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

    How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

    • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
    • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
    • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
    • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
