I enjoy working with the engaged couple and their families in making their wedding ceremony everything they want it to be. The best part of this job is seeing the smiling faces during and after the ceremony.
As of August 1, 2026, I’ve done over 190 weddings. They have all gone well.
NOTE: Fee for wedding, phone consultation and script, the charge is $200 If you have a rehearsal it’s an extra $50 because of time and travel. I hope you find my fees reasonable and competitive.

Mike was the perfect officiant for our wedding! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional officiant. He was so easy to work with, always responded quickly, and patiently answered all of our questions. He also gave us a clear ceremony outline ahead of time and was very flexible when discussing the details. What a wonderful experience! Mike was extremely flexible, pleasant, easy to work with, and accommodated every request we had (we specifically asked for casual dress). FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge the quoted fee and that includes the script, a rehearsal if you want one (and I recommend you do) and the wedding ceremony. I live in Mentor so travel time and mileage can increase my cost on far away weddings. PLEASE NOTE: the money I raise goes to a charity, specifically the Police Unity Tour, a 300 mile bicycle ride that honors fallen officers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After submitting the quote and being hired, I ask a series of questions from which I prepare a sample wedding script for your review. You can add or take away anything you like because this is your ceremony and I want you to be happy with it. After we get the script worked out, if there is a rehearsal, I'll be there to make sure all is ready for the actual ceremony. On the day of the wedding I will be there an hour early to take care of signing the marriage certificate and any last minute questions that might arise.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was ordained about 14 years ago and have done over 170 weddings. I was ordained over the Internet at the request of a friend and did her wedding. I enjoyed it so much I've continued performing ceremonies all over northern Ohio and in Michigan.
