Pete was the contractor on our basement and bonus room. Don't let the pictures fool you. My one requirement was that Pete had insurance while working in my home and I requested to see the policy. I found out later that he cancelled the insurance soon after he produced the paperwork. Many many issues with his work that needed to be corrected by professionals. he or his crew Washed grout cement etc.down the drain on a shower he tiled. The whole tile floor and drain needed torn up and redone because the cement completely clogged the drain. Wood column in basement came apart at the edges and warped. Paint job was very poor. Dry wall to this day has issues. Had to faux paint to cover up problems. Many plumbing issues had to be redone. Never finished the steps in the bonus room because he couldn't correctly do the voluted stair case. Rail had to be taken down. Professionals that came to re do said he cut the rail too short. I would never let this contractor into my home. He tried to place a lien on my house when I wouldn't pay him the last payment even though the contract required the whole job to be done. He had not finished the work and I was not going to pay him. It costs me alot more than what i owed him to finish what he still hadn't completed and then had to spend even more to fix his poor workmanship on certain things. buyer beware
