FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a standard price. Every move and situation is different. There are so many variables that come into play from stairs, the actual items being moved, drive time, amount being moved, and services that the customer requires. For local moves we typically charge an hourly rate and for long distance we discuss exactly what needs to be done and I give a guaranteed flat rate price. Local moves come with a one time $20 fuel fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to the customer and find out what exactly they need. Every move is different. Some customers don't want us to pack anything and just want us to move the actual furniture and boxes, some want us to pack some things, and some want us to pack everything. After that I like to physically see what needs to be moved if at all possible. If not a walk through over the phone or submitted pictures always helps. I do this to ensure I quote the job using enough workers and that they have all the equipment and tools that they would need to complete the job. After that I walk the customer through the moving process and answer any questions that they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I use only veteran workers. All of my guys have at least 3 years of experience in the moving industry. We are constantly evolving and learning new ways to move items and pack/protect them against damage. I'm always buying new equipment that makes our job easier and safer.
