My sister and I had Mrs.Griswold for ACT English and Reading tutoring. She met with us every Saturday at my our home for hourlong sessions. From my time with her I have learned many things, Mrs.Griswold is an excellent teacher. I felt that learning with her was not a hassle or struggle, and that she allowed me to progress naturally and comfortably. She has a very kind and light-hearted personality and is very easy to work with. I would recommend Mrs.Griswold to anyone who is looking to understand the material, recognize patterns, and score highly on the test without all of the stress usually associated.
Great Tutor Karissa has been wonderful with my son, Nathan. She used a variety of teaching methods to help Nathan learn. Nathan made steady progress since the tutoring started. Karissa had a flexible schedule and the sessions were comfortable but structured. We look forward to using her services in the future.
Judy did both ACT and SAT tutoring for my son. She is very well organized and methodical in her approach. He felt much more comfortable during the test!
I was having a very rough time with calculus. It was the second time I took the class. I called Arbor Tutors and they provided me with a wonderful calculus tutor. Dan was extremely helpful, he was able to explain everything very patiently and fill in the gaps that I had.

I am a student at the University of Michigan - Dearborn, and I have a focus in medicine. I have several years experience teaching children, which has given me patience and empathy to different learning processes. Most importantly, I know how important it is to be successful in school, and I make it my mission to enable all of my students to excel.
I enjoy what I do. I am driven to make sure that my students understand material they are having difficulty with.
I am currently a cellular biology and biomedical engineering major at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor with a 3.8 GPA. I am an outstanding tutor who has a track record of success tutoring college level subjects at the University of Michigan Dearborn. These subjects include calculus, chemistry, biology, and physics. My business stands out because I personally know what it is like to struggle in school (which happened CONSISTENTLY) but also what it takes to succeed, not only in academics but in the professional world. Feel free to contact me as I have cheap and flexible rates compared with other tutors in my area. I typically have sessions 2-3 hours long.
Hi! I'm offering tutoring sessions for elementary and high school students. Since graduating from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2011, I've been traveling, playing music, a care worker, teaching piano lessons, tutoring, and trying to do good work in general! As a tutor, my subjects of focus are math and science. These are the subjects I was best at in school, and these are the subjects that schools seem to have the most trouble teaching. I believe this is because schools are mostly one person talking to a large group of people that all learn in different ways! Many students get left behind, and teachers don't have time to work one-on-one with all of them. One-on-one time with a student can make a world of difference. I have a car and can drive to the student's home. If you read this and think we'd be a good match, send me an e-mail and we can get to know each other a bit. I can put you in contact with references, etc. Thank you! I have a GPA of 3.8. I got 5's on AP Calculus BC and both Physics AP tests, scored in the 99th percentile in ACT math and in the 93rd percentile in ACT science.

I have over 5 years experience mentoring students, beginning while I was studying at Wayne State University. While there, I mentored children who were students at Detroit Public Schools in English and Reading. After matriculating to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2014, I began tutoring privately in Math, Science, and SAT prep. After tutoring for a few years privately, the University of Michigan hired me to create and teach an SAT prep course for over 30 students. I am now in my last semester of dental school, and starting this summer, will begin my Pediatric Dentistry residency at the University of Toledo because being a mentor for young people is a passion of mine.
