FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My main focus when I get to know a potential customer is that we will be on the same page, where I can identify his/her expectations , so there are no surprises or frustration at the end of the job. Also I try to clarify to the customer how long each room or phase of the work will take, how much prep I will be doing and what brand and line of paint I will be using. Every one of this factors on the job quality, duration and final pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always offer a free consultation, where I answer any question a potential customer might ask me. Upon agreement, I always like to type a contract. If it is a small job (like 1 or 2 days of work) I never get paid until completion. If it is a larger project, I always require a 20-30% deposit at the end of the 1st day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lead Certification on 2010. I also like to investigate about paint composition, qualities and such, asking questions at those paint stores that been selling paint for decades. Working for a very skilled General Contractor in New Hampshire more than a decade ago was also a great tool for me, where I learned many intangibles of this type of work, from dealing with new clients, doing the proper setup before starting your day and always leaving the home of your customer cleaner than when you arrived.
