Nicole Mellas

I grew up with music all around me. I started taking lessons when I was six, and didn't stop until in my late teens. Music is a big part of my life, and I've found that music speaks to my soul like almost nothing else does. I love helping people discover their love for music, and teaching them how to make their own beautiful music. I am passionate about music and growth. I believe that with a dedication to these two things combined, along with my 10+ years of teaching experience, I can help you or your child go a long way in your journey towards learning an instrument. I also grew up immersed in books, pouring over a book for hours at a time, engrossed in the story. I am passionate about reading and writing, and the power that having a grasp on these things holds in an individual’s life. I love to help children grow in their learning, and find joy and motivation along their journey. I have 2 years of personal tutoring experience with elementary aged children in reading and writing. Most of this was one-on-one, some with a small group of children. I also believe that learning should not be boring, and that it should be individualized to each person. I strive to apply these beliefs as I teach, and create fun and motivation for my students.
