Don has been our contractor for refurbishing a 4 unit apartment building. He was initially contracted to assist the owner (myself) with several upgrade projects required due to deferred maintenance by rental property managers. Don replaced 2) double patio doors & casements, 5) steelcase doors & casing (both interior & exterior), and 2) 2nd floor windows 9requiring exterior tall ladder work), in addition to multiple repair & maintenance tasks. The trust established in this initial work experience allowed me to contract Don for a rental unit "make-ready" including paint & tile flooring, and then a complete remodel of a 2nd unit, which included complete plumbing requirements, harwood floor installation, VCT Tile Installation, as well as new kitchen cabinetry & overall painting. Approximate 90% renovation of the unit with above average satisfactory results. Due to be a self-employed contractor, Don did put off some repairs to do other work. This is always upsetting to an owner with a "me first" attitude. Unfortunately for me the work that I re-assigned to my property manager was accomplished at both a higher cost, and less quality & less satisfaction than work accomplished by Don. Don is now my "go-to-guy" for all maintenance & make-ready requirements for my apt building. Highly recommended.
