I just met with Ron for the 1 dollar lesson. He is a really awesome dude that seems to really know his stuff. He took the time out to care about what I had to say and my concerns in my music journey. Would highly reccomend.

I had doubts. Seriously tons of doubts.From the stand point of a girl who is qualified as a hard-learner, I thought my lesson with Ron would be primarily like the ones before. With other teachers, my lessons were exhausting. The compatibility between us (other teachers and me) was a thick cord of chaos. They did not know how to TEACH. They knew how to play and show their skills but never Teach. While it was my first lesson with Ron I thought my time was much valued. He got to know me. And I actually learned some core things right from the start. It is to early to write a Review saying he is extraordinary since this was my first lesson with him, but right from the beginning I can say, patience Is the key to teaching and he served great amounts in our time which is very much appreciated considering I was 15 minutes late.And also he was very professional, polite, and kind. I felt happy knowing that I could learn at ease and that the pace he flows through is charismatic and calm. The way he was instructing made me want to learn, and that is a unique talent that many teachers don't have, that he did.The atmosphere of his home studio was welcoming and warm, it relaxed my nerves and made me feel at ease. I have to say that I am excited about the lessons to come and will keep an update on our progress.

Curtis Music Academy has been so helpful for my music education. Being in my early 20s, I had some trouble finding piano lessons that were not just for younger students. It was a relief when I discovered the Academy. My instructor is always excited to see me, and is so knowledgeable. I am learning fast, and I’m always excited for more lessons!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss your music goals and what motivated you to look for music lessons. Lessons are typically taught at our inviting and comfortable home studio, but we do offer driving to lessons for $5 if within 10 minutes from the University of Tulsa.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner - Ron Curtis - graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from TU with a degree in Music Education. Our instructors at Curtis Music Academy also have college education and courses in music.
