I had a small tile install job, but Val took it on and was very professional in his advice about how to proceed what type of tile to use. He placed me into his schedule at the soonest possible time and kept with that schedule. His work was exceptional in quality and I was more than pleased with the result. I asked him to some additional carpet repair work since he was already at my place and he likewise completed that job in excellent fashion. Highest rating for this contractor and I will use his services again!Aug 26, 2018
Tile Installation and Replacement
Excellent craftsmanship, excellent work quality, excellent and fair price for the work performed. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the lack of punctuality, lack of communication, and inaccurate estimate of time to complete the work.Aug 12, 2019Verified
Tile Installation and Replacement
I hired and made the choice to find another professional by the second day. Day one, he was late. Looked at my kitchen and added an additional $350 for backerboard. The cement board he purchased cost approximately $11 sheet for a total of $66. I have asked for a copy of the receipt and have not been provided one, but was able to look the prices up on Lowe’s - where he stated he purchased the item. He left to pick up the items and said he would be back in an hour, I had to text him 3 hours later to see where he was. He came back shortly after that, dropped off the cement board and left. He said he would be back late morning the next day to get started. A late morning turned into late afternoon with no communication. I finally reached out and he came around 3:30. He decided to lay everything over the existing vinyl, when we had discussed removing the vinyl (he even figured in the cost for removal in my quote). I provided him with a $250 deposit on day one and have had no work done on the home. I have asked for copies of the receipt for the cement board and have received no response. .Aug 21, 2019Verified
Floor Installation or Replacement
I liked everything about working with Standridge Floorcovering Services. Their bid was less than some we had received, and more than others but their bid was economical and realistic. Their work was excellent, and they accomplished the entire project quickly. ...and that's when we threw in a change to the project unexpectedly. They adapted well to the change in scope and they were quite reasonable in how it effected the overall cost to the project. What was the project? It was over 600 sq ft of vinyl wood plank flooring and about 55 sq ft of fairly delicate stonework. Originally I had told them it would be 55 sq ft of ceramic tile, so it was quite the curveball. I'm very pleased with the results. Most importantly, I'd use Standridge Floorcovering Services again.Sep 24, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our prices are based on the medium range of the market. We are not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. We keep our prices competitive but do not ever trade quality of our workmanship for low quality pricing. Throughout our 40 year history time has taught us that there is a fair price for a good job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Our process is divided into categories. We install owner supplied materials or we help consumers find the right product for their project. Consumers come to us a project and we walk them through the whole process of buying their materials from established accounts that we provide to find the right materials for them. We are not material suppliers but have associated ourselves with wholesales to help our customers buy their materials at a lower prices then retail while making sure the materials are of a high quality. It serves neither our company nor our customers to have them buy defective materials. We will first talk with the consumer in person or via phone to find what they are wanting, from there we will measure their house and advise them of what we think would be suited for their project. Then we will either have them find the materials on their own or we will direct them to our wholesalers to find the product. After they decide on the product then they will order the materials and we will supply any installation supplies needed. Once the materials arrive we pick up the materials and install them as professionally as possible. If the materials are furnished by the consumer we simply install what they have already purchased. This is the process for residential as well as commercial.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Unfortunately, in Oklahoma there is no training nor licencing involved for the flooring trade. Now that being stated, we have over forty years performing our trade. We have been licensed in other states that require documentation of our training either working in those states or reciprocating training information. I as the owner try to teach my employees the very best and latest techniques for the installation of the materials . I have been involved in 8 different parade of homes, 4 designer showcases, numerous magazine articles, and 2 different TV shows. On the commercial side I have worked on all types of commercial project from 200000 square foot to very small projects. I try to instill quality in all my men.
