A big thank you to my trainer Liam and TTP for the past 6 months! Since starting at TTP Ive noticed a huge positive difference in health, energy, and general physical ability. Not to say that all physical issues will be solved by eating better and lifting weights, but within two months of starting sessions, a number of my chronic pain issues cleared up. Id tried a gym membership elsewhere before, but the combination of having a structured workout/trainer schedule plus classes plus a rough meal plan has made a huge difference to my daily life. Ive been doing my beginner workouts alongside boxing classes and bodybuilders, and Ive never felt intimidated or ashamed to be at TTP, just impressed with my fellow gym-goers and myself.My personal trainer Liam has been key to all my improvements. Within the first week of sessions we hit it off really well, and I, someone who is fairly reluctant to work out, now really look forward to our weekly sessions. Sometimes its the highlight of my day to go into a session, be set up for 20 lb heavier weights than I expected, and come out pleased and surprised that I can push myself to succeed. Im now on my sixth month of training with him, and looking forward to 2025.Liams very accommodating in both schedule and routines. Every session he encourages me to push myself, but if I have any concerns, he immediately listens and adjusts the exercise appropriately. I initially started at the same time as my partner doing the same routines, but now that weve both been there for a while Liams been slowly splitting up what we do into specialized exercises and intensity levels.Extra shoutout to Dillons group mobility sessions! If I dont go to one of these during the week after I do leg day, I end up hobbling around.A few small details I wanted to shout out:- Theres a pretty big and wonderful range in attendee body types and age range and ethnicities- Theres only one machine of each type, but the trainers do short rotations on each machine and the gym is rarely crowded when there isnt a class. Ive never seen it be a problem, but sometimes the floor area is a little crowded when a class is in session.- My fav meal plan packs are the Sweet Chili Salmon and the Peanut Chicken Bento Bowl.

I have been training with Turk for about three months now and have had great results after trying to no avail on my own. I am sitting here typing in jeans I had not been able to pull on for a year. I never hired a personal trainer before, so this has been a new experience for me. I was a little nervous about going to a muscle gym, but I saw on the reviews that Turk works with plenty of women (I am mid-40's) so I took a chance. I could not be happier and feel like I really lucked out. Turk is very responsive and listens to what it is that you want to accomplish. He created a very doable plan for me which included explaining how to eat appropriately. I always thought that fruit and lettuce would be how to lose weight and I could not have been more wrong. I have been eating plenty of food while losing weight and fat and building lean muscle. The few times I have texted Turk with the various temptations out in the world, he has responded almost immediately with support and encouragement. If you are planning to work with a personal trainer and are serious about putting in the effort, I would give Turk 6 out of 5 stars...go for it. He is the real deal. You will not be disappointed.

Turk is an amazing trainer! This is my first time with a personal trainer so I was pretty nervous going in for my first appointment. He is so friendly and down to earth that I was more than comfortable within a few minutes of meeting him. I've been training with him for three months now. He pushes me much harder than I would have ever pushed myself and knows exactly when I have had enough. I have had amazing results so far and have his continued support even after our session is over. I think he is amazing as a trainer but also as friend that knows exactly what to say. A big thank you for all he's done for me.

Twelve weeks prior to walking into Superior Physique, I had changed my eating habits, started a reputable workout program at home, 5-6 days a week, with absolutely no progress to show for it. I take that back, my pants had actually began to fit me tighter than before I had started the program. Confused, frustrated and determined, I needed a change. I found Turk through Thumbtack.com. Like you, I read the reviews and took a chance. What will a consultation hurt, right? It’s just a chat. Turk was professional, knowledgeable and very articulate. He took time to get to know my history, my goals and areas of opportunity. He takes something that can be scientifically complex (down right confusing), and breaks it down in easy to understand ways. I quickly learned why I wasn’t seeing results and what I needed to do in order to change. My nutrition was out of balance, I was under eating and I needed to add in strength training. The first week, I thought, “Oh my goodness, I have no idea what I am doing- this is a whole new world for me. I am not in Kansas anymore.” I went to two sessions that week, a nervous wreck, a little nauseated, and had no idea what to expect. I cannot remember if I walked in with a terrified look or not but Turk quickly made me feel at ease. First, we went over nutrition in detail and then onto the floor. Turk explained and demonstrated the exercises, showing what muscle groups were being triggered and what the proper form of each exercise looked and felt like (He is fantastic at educating you). The hour flew by and I didn’t die! I found myself wanting more. Seventeen weeks into my journey, Turk has far exceeded my expectations. I can honestly say working out with Turk has become my favorite part of the week. I look back in amazement of how much I have progressed over the weeks. I am thrilled with my results and love watching how my body transforms from week to week. I have gone from 27% body fat down to 21%, and gained 4lbs of muscle. With Turk as my partner in crime, there is no doubt that we will achieve my goals. Not only is Turk extremely knowledgeable and efficient, he is a positive and motivating guy that pushes you to your limits. The limits you had no idea were even there. He has opened my eyes to a world I have never considered before and I love every minute of my new journey. If you are anything like me cardio is easy and comfortable. Easy and comfortable doesn’t always get you the results that you want or need. If it terrifies you, it transforms you. To me this was strength training and personal trainers. I took the leap of faith and taking a chance with Turk has been the absolute, best thing I have done for myself and for my health. Thanks to Turk, I am no longer terrified, I am transforming! I cannot say enough positive things about Turk Fickling – A truly phenomenal guy that knows fitness!   • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I guess playing sports when I was younger initially inspired me to workout. Even back then, I understood the importance of resistance training in maintaining a fit and active lifestyle. (My passion for weight training grew and I started competing in bodybuilding.) It was during that time that I became accutely aware of the importance of not only training, but diet and nutrition also.) As I have gotten older, having an active lifestyle has become more important to me, growing into a passion that gives me the opportuity to not only inspire others, but to help keep them healthy. Sharing my knowledge, educating and inspiring others so that they may lead healthy and active lives for as long as they choose, is the true gift of my job.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    There isn't any! In my 29+ years in this industry I have been fortunate to help and work with many clients who have many different needs. From losing body fat, gaining lean muscle mass, post rehab from injury or major surgery down to the beginner who has never trained before.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Doing your homework goes without saying, however, this is not just my job or career, but this is how I live. I think if you truly are looking for a good fit for your personal training needs. You need to find someone who looks the part! Let's be honest if you came to me and I am 70lbs over weight, how am I gonna inspire you?
