My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Sean for about a year now & she loves it. He manages to let her be creative and at the same time he makes sure she is learning, my daughter is always excited to go to her lessons with Sean. Sean has a lot of patience and is very knowledgeable when it comes to working with kids, he has also been very accomodating when it comes to schedule changes and I can't thank him enough for that.

Sean is a very talented musician and an incredible teacher!! My 10 year-old daughter came to Sean as a piano student more than one year ago to continue her instrument training. She likes learning from him. Sean is easy to communicate with, super flexible, able to tailor every lesson to your family particular needs and makes the lesson fun! He also has a way to make his students feel successful even when they are struggling. Every time my daughter leaves her 60-minutes class, she feels a little bit more confidence than before and heads home with homework, she is always eager to practice on. More important to me, my daughter looks forward to her lessons and she is enjoying music. As a parent, I’m really glad to have met Sean. He is a very gifted teacher and I can't recommend him enough! I know you’ll feel like it is one of your best investments and won't regret a single moment spent because he is building a foundation for a life-long love of music.

My daughter had a little pressure when she just started piano lessons with Sean 9 months ago. He's fun, very patient but his way of teaching was a little aggressive than the previous instructor my daughter had for 2 years. After a few lessons with him, I thought my daughter would want to quit but to my surprise, she really liked being in his class. His technique of teaching, his patience, friendliness to the kids and his professionalism make my daughter accomplish more than I've ever expected. I'm so grateful that my daughter found the best instructor. Thanks.

Sean gave my daughter private piano lessons for over 2 years until we had to move to another town. He is very patient, accommodating and inspirational. With his help, my daughter stays engaged and interested in piano. He is not just a wonderful teacher but an awakener!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is simple and consistent. 1 hour lesson - $45 Most clients pay with a check the first of the month, but I am very flexible.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually begin by asking questions pertaining to the student's experience prior to our meeting. Then, we talk about what music you are interested in. It is most important for me to know what kind of experience you wish to have with music. A quick example, many students wish to dedicate their time to learning how to read classical western music notation, but other students come in with their phones and simply play me a song on their phone, and we work together to create an arrangement of that song that is compatible with their current skills. There is no one kind of piano lesson for me, it is entirely modeled after the student's interests.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained in Music Composition at The Juilliard School, and received my Bachelor's in Music in 2014. I have been privately studying piano as well since I was 13. I began professionally teaching after I graduated. I worked for Musipire Professional Music Education in Queens for about 2 1/2 years before moving to The Bronx in 2017. Since then I have worked privately in the Bronx, Uptown Manhattan, and the Fort Lee area.
