Working with the Smoove Movers was a terrific experience. I’ve moved a ton over the past 10 years & have worked with a many different companies. This was the most professional, clean cut, friendliest, and communicative team I’ve worked with. Not only were they great leading up to the move but they took tremendous care with my furniture. They wrapped everything carefully without being asked and as they unloaded they asked me where to put items. They made moving day a breeze. If you need movers, be sure to hire these guys. They’re great!

I would recommend Smoove Movers and would hire again.
We hired Smoove Movers for a local move from our 4 bedroom home with 3 floors. They moved all of our large furniture, several appliances, a pallet item, and 2 dozen boxes.
The crew was efficient and had a good attitude - we know load & unload is a difficult job, especially when there are stairs!
Best of all - the crew was super efficient! They completed the job well under the estimated time.
We’ve hired a couple other moving companies over the years and Smoove Movers gave us the best experience out of all of them.

Superb team. Get my job done perfectly. There was multiple pickup points and needed assembly at the drop point. Everything done without any hassle. Furnitures were wrapped and handled with care.
Very friendly and responsive for any queries and messages. They have accommodated my rescheduling without any additional charges as well.
Did the job with utmost professionalism. Would recommend any day to anyone who requires moving in Portland area.

I cannot tell you how pleased we were with Smoove Movers. Darion and Christian were so responsive, kind and also very responsible with our moving needs, which was unloading a POD container. I had scheduled them for a Friday, a day after our POD delivery since I did not know what time of day it would be delivered on Thursday. When PODS let me know on Wednesday night that my POD would arrive in the 7-10am window on Thursday, I reached out to Darion to see if they might be available to come on Thursday afternoon on the off chance it could work out. Darion responded right away that unfortunately they had another job that would preclude them from doing so, which was totally acceptable and I said, no problem, we'll see you on Friday as scheduled. Now here's what completely blew me away. On Thursday morning, Darion proactively reached out to me to let me know their afternoon job had rescheduled and that they could come that afternoon after all!!!!! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! He definitely did NOT have to offer that.
Darion and Christian showed up all smiles and ready to go. Although it was the tail end of a hot day, and they had come directly from a previous moving job, they were both so friendly and authentic; we appreciated that they even made a point to congratulate us on our new home.
And of course, both Darion and Christian were great with moving our stuff. They took care with our belongings as well as the transporting into our home, and it is clear they both come with experience. When having to move to our couch through a narrow doorway, they unscrewed the feet and put up blankets to protect the doorframe. Although I had promised no assembling of furniture was required, they assembled our dining table for us. And...even when I changed my mind a couple of times where boxes or furniture should go, they did it with all smiles.
All this to say, we were very impressed by Smoove Move's work ethic and service, and I would totally recommend them to others. I was surprised to learn that they are just a new company starting out (I found them just via Thumbtack) so I wanted to make sure I wrote a thorough recommendation with some details as to how I felt they went above and beyond for us. I would definitely use them again for a future move!

I HIGHLY recommend Darion and his Smooth Movers team. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. My experience was wonderful from the initial contact with Darion to the (exhausting) end. The pricing was very fair and communication about cost was clear and accurate. Smooth Movers did a great job with the range of jobs I hired them for, from full-on moving (where they made sure items were placed in the new flat where I needed them) to the smaller labor only jobs like getting things into storage, etc. Most importantly for me however, was this - things rarely go exactly as planned with any move as indeed they did not with this move. It's how the challenges are handled that demonstrates a company's true professionalism and value. Darion/Smooth Movers handled the unexpected logistical issues, timing snafus, and my own frazzled nerves with ease, having a great attitude throughout. It's difficult to overstate how important it is to feel your moving team is your ally in this difficult process and with these guys I felt 100% supported. I feel I now have a go-to guy to assist me with projects I can't manage on my own as well as any future moves for me and my family members. Thanks Darion! You made what is for me an especially difficult process so much more manageable.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our rates include movers, a moving truck (if necessary), drive time to and from our terminal, protective equipment, furniture pads, plastic wrap, tools, disassembly/reassembly, and general valuation.
**We offer a 5% discount to all veterans, repeat customers, realtors, stagers, and vendor referrals.**
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we'll gather as much information to provide or direct potential customers to the proper service. If we're the right fit, we'll walk the customer through our move day process to reassure a smooth process and answer any questions. We'll then provide an itemized breakdown of the most accurate estimate and will send a copy via email for customer's reference.
Once booked, we'll follow up a few days in advance to confirm that everything is all set. On the big day, our crew will notify you when they're on the way to provide a 'Smoove' Move.
We accept Cash, Check, Card and Venmo for payment.
