- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will give you a free 20 minute phone consultation to do an initial diagnosis to see if I can help you. I charge $125 an hour for on-site service including the first hour to do a thorough diagnosis. On site service in the Eugene, local area will not incur travel fee. Anything beyond this local area will incur a reasonable travel fee. The rate for remote work is $50 an hour (If your problem can be resolved remotely and if there are no unexpected difficulties) I like to get to know the customer and their needs and see how I can help them get what they are looking for.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will try to get as much information as possible upfront to give as accurate a quote as possible. This is not always easy because people don't know whats wrong with their computer, that's why they need me ;) Otherwise I offer to diagnose the problem on sight for a reasonable fee which can be hourly or a flat fee depending on the issue.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working on computers for over 30+ years now, and have attended DeVry University in Long Beach towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems Security, and I am now working towards getting certified by CompTIA in A+, Security+ and Network+. I have spent most of my career working with Apple products and am certified as an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician. I worked for Apple at the Genius Bar for 5 years.
