It is wonderful working with Brenda. She is a great listener and is really able to capture your vision. She first created the logo for my business (which always receives rave reviews), she then created 2 stunning murals for our home. Her mural work is priceless. She took our ideas, completely captured them and created a space for us that is inspired. Stace Jardine Owner, DillonBeach.com Russian River Escapes.com Express Safety Training.com

We had Dynamic Designs restyle a company logo for us, and then create some sub logos for different products. She worked with us to get the logos as expected and had prompt responses for suggestions and questions.

Joanne worked with me to change a logo that I already had, which wasn't quite what I had wanted. She quickly added color and a slight change which made it pop the way I wanted it to. She then created a business card and letterhead with my new logo. Joanne has been friendly, helpful, timely, and clear in her communication with me in terms of what to expect and deadlines. I definitely will use her services in the future.

So happy Lauren Howland was recommended to us for shooting our new website. We shot all of our new inventory in the late afternoon, with 3 models in Oregon. She was professional, warm and comfortable to work with. She was especially able to communicate great direction (**especially recommended if you need some warming to the camera lens**). I actually have a few friends I've been begging to model clothing for us - and they agreed if Lauren was the photographer. It's shown in her work, but what I was most impressed with, and what I feel a review is best used for - is her professionalism. She has a high standard for communication and respect for the art and the industry. Pay your photographers well!! They work hard to develop a craft like Lauren Howlands. 10 Stars! Can't wait to book another date with her again.

Karl has been our IT guy for our business since 2001. That's a long time in this industry. He has always been successful in every aspect of our needs - from designing logos, websites to computer troubleshooting. He works expectionally well with our employees and listens attentively to our "frustrations" - even when we don't know what we're talking about! His prices are ridiculous - but don't tell him we think he's worth double what he charges!

John took over the production of a 50+ page catalog for one of my customers. The catalog was completed on-time and exceeded my customers expectations. He has also done many other smaller projects for me including creating my logo, letterhead etc. I would recommend him.

Lisa is an amazing designer, and also has amazing front end web development skills. Working as a back end developer on projects with Lisa handling design and front end has resulted in numerous slam dunks for me, resulting in Lisa being the first person I go to when design work comes my way.

I am a new business owner and little experience with logo designers. My first designer was extremely difficult to work with, lacked artwork and font styles I was looking for and lacked the ability to listen. Not knowing if this was an industry standard I was apprehensive when I met David Skapandi. He is very easy to work with, listened to what I wanted and gave feed back on what he was hearing. With in a week he had a beautiful logo design, took the time to go through all the files he had created for me and what each file could be used for. I have already recommended him to several people and received several comments from printers on the quality his work.

    About

I have a fairly uncommon combination of talents – a techie you can communicate with, a teacher/trainer who understands the technical, a coder who does design, a designer who does code...

    About

I am a designer in the Portland metropolitan area who has over 20 years of experience. I've been "artsy" my entire life (if you need proof, I can give you my mother's phone number). After high school, I attended the design program at Mt. Hood Community College, and I have been working in many areas of the design field ever since. I have the ability to design logos, flyers, catalogs, product packaging; you name it. I've probably designed it.

    About

We're a small design agency -- a close knit group of six designers -- developing web sites, and all the various media that make them so effective, here in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We create sites and apps that are easy to use and splendid to look at. Century Seven began with a group of designers that wanted to contribute to the web through creativity. By building close and caring relationships with our clients, we put people first, creating designs and content that reflect each client's vision and speak persuasively to their audience.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to create a logo?

Logo design is an important part of your company’s brand development. More than an image with text and color, a logo communicates the tone and personality of your company to your potential customers. Hiring a graphic designer with an appealing portfolio and quality reviews is a solid start to creating a winning logo design. The cost to create a logo can depend on how in-depth the marketing and design services you request are. Designers can create one logo in multiple formats (horizontal, vertical, etc.) to fit both your website and social media platforms, they can create a variety of designs for clients to select from, or they can create multiple logos for one client who needs branding for more than one venture. Logos may be text-only, text and image, or image-only. Many designers and design firms charge by the hour for their services, while other companies offer packages bundled with design services. Here are some examples of cost:

    • National average cost to hire a logo designer: $170-$250.
    • Average hourly rate for a freelance marketing consultant: about $150.
    • Tiered pricing for logo design packages from one firm:
      • Package One: $200 for three logo concepts, three rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
      • Package Two: $350 for 10 logo concepts, unlimited rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
      • Package Three: $550 for everything included in the Package Two, plus business card design, letterhead design, social media graphics and an email signature.
      • Package Four: $850 for everything in the Package Three, plus custom brand guidelines, which outline a strategy for creating a consistent branding in the client’s business.

What makes a good logo design?

A good logo is an easily identifiable, memorable image that represents your brand. A good logo design aligns with your business model and expresses your company’s core values. A good logo design is simple, appealing, and easy for customers and viewers to quickly process. Some of the key components of a great logo are type, color palette and design. The scale, font and arrangement of the text you select will all make a difference in the feel and representation of your brand. A graphic designer will help you home in on the colors that best represent your identity and help you keep the color palette simple. The design of your logo includes the shapes you select and the way the color and type are arranged together. Investing in the services of a professional to create your logo design is likely a smart investment for any size business. Nationally, the average price range for a logo designer ranges from $170 to $250.
