FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My primary product is the solution to your problem. My pricing is simple and transparent. I charge a $120 minimum, which covers the first two hours of work. After that, my rate is $60 per hour, or I can provide a flat price for many common jobs, so you know exactly what to expect. This ensures that even short jobs are handled properly and efficiently, without shortcuts, while keeping things fair for both of us. Materials needed for a repair are either included in a flat price or explained upfront — there are no hidden fees, and I always communicate costs before any work begins. I am up to date on all the payment options. I accept cash, checks, credit cards, and online payments. From time to time, I offer seasonal or first-time customer promotions, which I’ll let you know about when scheduling. My focus is on solving your problems, not charging by the hour, so pricing always reflects the value and peace of mind you’re getting, not just my time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new customer reaches out, I start by understanding exactly what the problem is and what outcome you’re looking for. I ask a few questions to make sure I bring the right tools and plan. We schedule a time that works for you, and I show up on time, prepared, and ready to assess the situation. Before any work begins, I explain the pricing and confirm the plan so there are no surprises. I then complete the repair or project the right way, treating your home with respect, protecting surfaces as needed, and cleaning up as I go. When the job is finished, we walk through the work together so you’re satisfied with the result. Even after I leave, I’m available to answer questions or help if anything related to the repair comes up later. My goal is that you don’t have to worry about your home not working properly again — and if something doesn’t hold up, I’ll work with you to make it right.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my training comes from hands-on, real-world experience. I’ve spent years working in landscaping, demolition, and construction, including helping build two houses from the ground up. That included everything from groundwork, framing, roofing, and setting cabinets to installing doors, laying flooring, and finishing details. This experience taught me not just how to use tools, but how to diagnose problems, plan solutions, and execute them efficiently and correctly. I focus on long-term results, not quick fixes, and I apply that approach to every project I take on.
