Hi, I'm Matt Smallen, a professional handyman based in Portland, Oregon.
I’ve worked full-time in this field since 2017, with experience in nearly every aspect of residential home repair and maintenance. That includes:

I genuinely enjoy this work and approach every job with a positive attitude. Growing up, I worked with my father (a third-generation masonry contractor), my grandfather (a carpenter and handyman), and a professional house painting crew.

Matt is great to work with. He’s responsive, knowledgeable and willing to explain options before anything is committed to. We had him do a variety of things (light replacements, baseboards, drywall work and countertops install).
