She is great! I recently had back surgery and she started me with a plan that pushed me but didn’t over do it. She taught me several things about my anatomy that I hadn’t ever gotten from other trainers or even physical therapists. This resulted in me getting way better results from the same exercises I have done for years ... but now I do them with a focus on specific muscles or form. Way better! She also incorporated new exercises that are very effective and don’t require expensive equipment. She’s nice, flexible on location, and flat out knows her stuff! I love the one on one nature of the workouts. Every workout is tailor made for you at whatever level of fitness you are at. Michelle does an outstanding job of motivating and pushing you in a positive manner to achieve your fitness goals. The workouts are fun and constantly changing. Not only are you getting a great workout, She is also teaching me about nutrition, flexibility, injury prevention, and race preparation. Michelle helped me immensely with strengthening myself to combat a weak and sore lower back. We met for an hour out in beautiful parks which made the training more enjoyable. Michelle was very knowledgeable with the issue of my sore/weak lower back and gave specific exercises and direction to properly strengthen and stretch my core in the best way for my situation. Her training included home workouts where I could continue some exercises on my own. She additionally gave great information and insight regarding other areas of life that would in the long run help me be the strongest and healthiest I can be. You will thank yourself after just a few sessions training with Michelle. She is professional, knowledgeable & motivating. One of the best things about training with Michelle is that you're not in an indoor gym. Think mobile gym; where you train outside, in the fresh air. You may get introduced new outdoor trail systems, or if you prefer indoors on somedays, she may bring you bouldering at the local rock gym. She has solid, quality, mobile training equipment. The workouts are versatile & will depend on what your goals are. Since meeting Michelle, I have enjoyed waking up early & going for a hike, watching the sun rise, & getting pushed to my limits with every workout. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an ACE certified personal trainer and to keep my training certificate I have to do regular continued education. I also like to explore exercise options out there to keep the routines fun and exciting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?People have always asked me about working out and being healthy and I have always loved helping people to improve their life so it just seemed like a perfect fit.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Generally I do an initial consultation and some basic screens to see what level of fitness a client is currently at and talk with them about their goals and past issues they may have had then I create an at home workout for them to do when they aren't working out with me. When working out with me I teach them new workouts or bike riding, hiking, trail running anything to keep the work out exciting.
