I had spoken with the owner several times about decorating an Air BnB for a 40th birthday. I informed her several times that I am not from the area and would be there just for the weekend. I told her it was a surprise and that we wanted to setup before we arrive at 3pm. The day of delivery she calls me yelling as to why no one is there and demanding that I paid final payment. I literally had just arrived in Portland to her yelling about why I’m not there. How she doesn’t know who I am. Who says this to any customer? How do plan to get new customers without connecting with people you don’t know? I reminded her that I too don’t know her or her business but still hired them to do a job. I used this app because I was concerned about hiring a random business that’s I could not verify. While she was yelling at me about no one being there and demanding I pay her the balance of $174. You would think I owed her thousands of dollars. She was seemed to really get upset when I asked for a picture to simply verify everything has been setup as we discussed. She refused to do that and stated she did not agree to do that. I found my request to be made reasonable and I thought it was odd she refused. Even Amazon or any other company verifies when a product is delivered. We arrived there 3 large bunches of balloons that were not placed in any kind of way. One was on the dining table and two by the TV stand. The 40 was already falling and leaning to the side. I looked like he just literally dropped off balloons and left with no setup. My friend enjoyed her surprise when she walked but I was very DISAPPOINTED!! I DO NOT recommend this business for any event or party. The owner is very rude and disrespectful. She does not know how to talk to people and no one wants any additional stress with something as simple as balloons when planning an event.
