I provide service in three fields: catering large cocktail parties with exceptional food, professional service, and flawless presentation; serving phenomenal, multi-coursed meals for brunch, lunch, or dinner parties; and supporting busy families with healthy home cooked food everyone can enjoy on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. I have worked as a professional private chef and caterer for over 25 years now, serving very important and illustrious clients in both Los Angeles, New York and now Portland. Notable clients and guests include Meryl Streep, John Lithgow, Frank Bruni, Alec Baldwin, and more. I have an extensive menu selection featuring exotic cuisines from all over the world as well as classic American comfort food. Alison has been terrific to work with. We have used her in a few different capacities in the last 2 weeks...private chef for a dinner party, caterer for a holiday cocktail party and chef for delivered meals. Her food has been delicious, and she is really easy to work with. She is open to suggestions and will also give her opinion on what she thinks will work best depending on the event. She is quick to respond, always professional and reasonably priced. I plan on using her again and recommend you give her a try.

From beginning to end it was a pleasure to work with Alison and A Wonderland Of Food catering. The service staff were attentive and professional during our event and made sure glasses and plates were cleared in a timely manner and food was consistently replenished. The food was delicious and the amount of variety ensures you won't have an issue finding something tasty and unique to please all palates.   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I love to work one-on-one with every customer-- taking them through my very comprehensive menu selection, discussing the right staffing and tone for the party, and discerning exactly how to take the pressure of throwing a party off the host. My motto is "Don't Work Your Own Party!" Just let us take care of everything.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    While I am mostly self taught, I attended the professional course at The New School of Cooking in Los Angeles. I drop into classes at least once a year to expand my technique and my ever-growing exotic repertoire. I love to fuse the new tastes with the classics to develop new dishes constantly.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I've worked with every type of customer! From busy businessmen to wealthy celebrities, from stressed homemakers to recovering patients on chemo. I've cooked in big kitchens and teeny tiny ones and for people with deep interest in cooking to people who don't care at all. I've cooked for all types of customers and I've loved every second of it.
