magical...presentation was a lovely pairing with the rest of my daughters wedding decor. Lunch was very tastey-no complaints from any hungry guests. Professionally dressed staff, got right down to business-flawless set up and removal. Willing to please...well done-bravo!!!
My wife and I knew from the start that we couldn't plan a wedding for 100 guests by ourselves. After reviewing a couple event planners, we found Morgan. It was clear from the beginning that her personality was a nice match for ours, so we hired her for the full wedding package. She anticipated our needs and understood the level of effort we wanted to put into the big day (ie not much; we're fairly lazy, but we still wanted to throw a beautiful wedding). Morgan took our aesthetic, goals and budget into account at every turn, and was awesome at laying out each choice and presenting our options. She gently prompted us to complete tasks to stick to our timeline, but it never felt like a chore. She also connected us to amazing vendors. On the surface, she was so cool, calm and collected, she made it look easy. But make no mistake, Morgan worked her tail off, and in the end, everything came together beautifully with no drama. I can't recommend her enough!
I connected with Rebecca through Thumbtack while searching for a party decorator for our daughter's upcoming bat mitzvah celebration. Rebecca responded quickly to my inquiry. While I was initially attracted to Picture Perfect Parties because of their reasonable rates, I quickly became impressed with Rebecca for all of her fabulous ideas! After asking about our daughter and our vision for the celebration, she helped us to narrow in on a theme and color scheme for the party, while being mindful of our budget. She even offered ways to cut costs and save money! She is upfront about all of her pricing, quick to respond to emails, and thorough in her work. She sent photos of various decorations, gave helpful feedback, and has been incredibly patient with me as I've explored many different ideas! I appreciate Rebecca's knowledge and feel confident that she was the best person to pick for this job. We are so excited to see her work her magic!

We worked with the awesome duo from Parties and Events NW for our wedding, and it was an absolute dream. Rebecca was our wedding decorator, and Erin was our day of coordinator, and our wedding could not have gone more smoothly without the help of these two amazing ladies. When I first spoke with Rebecca, she communicated every detail about our wedding vision that ensured that no area of planning would go unnoticed. She is kind, patient, and oh so creative! We visited our venue together, and Rebecca gave excellent tips and ideas that helped create an aesthetic look that perfectly matched the goals we had previously discussed. We also used their decorations, which was both cost and time effective that greatly reduced wedding planning stress. You will absolutely be satisfied with how your venue will look, as it will exceed your expectations! Erin was likewise a gem to work with as our wedding day coordinator. There is absolutely NOOO way that our wedding could have gone as smoothly without her amazing help. She kept us calm and relaxed, and was flexible to any changes that ensured our day went according to plan (and that we eat and stay hydrated!). In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Erin kindly talked us through all the final details (and spoke all our other vendors) that helped minimize stress and any concerns we had. She is incredibly detail oriented, and gave attention to all parts of our wedding that allowed my husband and I to focus on what mattered most-- marrying each other! Both ladies communicate incredibly well and in a timely manner that will leave you feeling assured that your wedding day will look and go just as you envision. J29 events was a lifesaver the month of my wedding! As someone planning my wedding in Portland (living in Seattle) their local experience was helpful. Their experience with weddings led to great recommendations for how to work with vendors, plan the full day and make vendor recommendations when needed. Nicole was wonderful on site, and she went above and beyond to make sure the night went smoothly; all the way down to moving her hours around to ensure my rental items were returned in great shape. I rated 4 not 5 only because in months leading to the wedding, I had to follow up on my sent emails a few times to get responses. Actual execution was flawless. Thank you!!
Lindsay was wonderful to work with pre wedding. She was informative and incredibly helpful in regards to what I should bring in the way of ice and beverages. Due to an emergency she had to send another bartender last minute. He was charming, quick and reliable. GREAT service and GREAT prices.
Kelly was incredibly engaging and so easy to work with! I hired her on kind of short notice, but she was super accommodating and made my first experience with thumbtack exceptionally easy. I would absolutely use her again and would recommend her to anyone needing a face painter for their next event!
Polly was great, she was in charge of the day! She made certain all of the details of our wedding were in place. Our service was an open slate in a park. She coordinated the delivery and set up of seating, flowers and ushered guests when they need to sit or get off to the reception. She spent the morning setting up the venue. She had everything perfectly arranged, flowers, favors, guest book. Our wedding went off seamlessly. Polly was so calming and had her act together so we did not have to worry about a thing. Vanessa did some gorgeous funeral arrangements and center pieces for my grandfather's funeral. I would recommend her to anyone needing flowers for any occasion! Her flowers are fresh, beautiful and affordable.
On Christmas Day 1998, my husband proposed to me! I was thrilled beyond imagination.... then reality struck! My husband had never been married (we were both in our forty's) and wanted to have the BIG Church wedding, with a guest list of 400+ and he wanted to do it April 4th! I was completely lost and overwhelmed with the planning! Then we were invited to a Valentine Day party at a friends home.....when we walked into their home I was completely transfixed by the beautiful and unique flower displays, table scapes, and candle displays that turned their home into one of the most beautiful and romantic spaces I had ever seen. The next day I called Marianna Love from Absolutely Beautiful who had been responsible for my friends homes Valentine transformation. I met with Marianna that week and we discussed my dilemma... A wedding that was just a few weeks away, and my desperation in getting it all pulled together. There are no words to fully express my appreciation and gratitude to Marianna! With little clear direction from the frazzled bride to be, Marianna put together and executed a plan that to this day people still refer to as the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. The flowers, the silk draping , the table settings, candle displays and menu to name a few, were all beyond imagination with beauty, romance and originality. Marianna transformed the church and the reception venue into an unimaginable place of pure bliss. Guests described it as a "very swish affair"....."something out of a magazine"...."looks like a made for TV wedding straight from Hollywood." All of the ideas were the product of Marianna's imagination and incredible talent and she executed her plan flawlessly! Over the years Marianna has planned and executed Christmas parties including decorating our home and has continued to prove herself over and over again as one of the most creative and original party planners I've ever encountered. She's not only a tremendously talented woman, she is great fun! One of the nicest people I know!

Stress was instantly taking off our shoulders after our first meeting with her. She contacted all our vendors, was our point of contact and came to our rehearsal dinner. There is a time in a woman's life that is the most important day she will experience. A time that she daydreams of her entire life. On September 6th, 2015 Amanda and I both had the most important day of our lives! But every bride knows that it is a whirlwind to actually get to the day of the wedding with all the planning, collecting, and projects it takes to actually pull of the day. Six months before our wedding a perfect gem came into our lives offering to be a day of coordinator for our wedding for learning experience to build her business in the best way possible. Of course we jumped on the offer and met with Vanessa the next week. We had an instant connection with Vanessa and right away she became family to us. She expressed to us right away what she was going to do for us and we all started to plan that night. The first thing that caught my attention was her immediate organizational skills. She wrote down everything we talked about right away and threw in amazing ideas. When Vanessa left that first night Amanda and I felt like we struck gold! As weeks went on Vanessa kept in close contact with us, always asking how we were doing and asking what she could do to help us. Vanessa came out to our house to work on projects with us, to continue planning, and to figure out our venue prospects. When we finally decided on a venue Vanessa was right by our side meeting with the venue managers and coordinators. She asked every question that we didn't think of and she made sure that we got the best deal possible. As the day came closer Vanessa was a constant support system for us and kept us cool and collected as the stress of a wedding came closer. As most wedding do we had a few hiccups with our venue and Vanessa took charge and fixed all the little speed bumps that came our way. At our rehearsal Vanessa came ready to shine with her impeccable organization. She knew what she was doing and kept explaining how the day was going to go to our wedding party. When we left that day we knew exactly how to walk down the isle, where to stand, how to walk out, and had a plan how the rest of the wedding would go. Needless to say we all felt comfortable and ready for the actual event. Of course when Amanda and I went to bed that night we were so ready for our beautiful outdoor dreamy wedding. When we woke up the next morning it was down pouring. As a bride panic set in knowing that our outdoor wedding could become disastrous. Not even a minute later I got a call from Vanessa calming my nervous and telling me she has a plan. Instantly I knew the day was would be perfect. When my side of the bridal party and I showed up to help set up there were beautiful white tents up to cover our guests and us during the wedding. Vanessa made magic happen to make sure our day went perfect. She directed everyone what still needed to be done and we got all decorations and tables set up in a fashionable time! When we all went to take pictures Vanessa stayed and continued to make our venue perfect. When we arrived it was like a fairytale, she put her beautiful touches on everything. When the wedding started she gathered the wedding party and since it was raining we had to change quickly where we were going to stand and Vanessa took charge and quickly made a decision for us. As we started walking down the isle the rain stopped and the sun came out and all I could do is smile because I knew Vanessa must have pulled some strings with the rain Gods because only she could pull off something like that! Needless to say the wedding went perfectly and the reason I know that is because Vanessa was running her butt off to make sure very thing was perfect and even if there problems she didn't let us know about any of them she just took care of it herself. As the night came to an end and we were getting ready for our exit and Vanessa was still in great spirits and ready to make sure the last few minutes were perfect!! As we got into our truck and drove away we noticed that Vanessa had placed all of our gifts and cards into our truck for us to enjoy that night! Vanessa stayed and cleaned the venue and that night dropped off all of our decor and supplies to our house so that we didn't have to worry about anything. Our over all experience with Vanessa was beyond amazing. Not only was she our day of wedding coordinator but now she is and will forever be Auntie Vanessa to our sweet babies!! If you are looking for a dedicated, organized, passionate, loving, creative day of coordinator for your wedding Vanessa Humphrey is the woman for you. She will blow your exceptions out of this world! Vanessa thank you so much for your support and love for weddings because we wouldn't have been able to do half of what we did without you!! We love you to the moon and back!!
I hired Liz as a Day-of-Coordinator for my summer wedding, and so far she has been a dream to work with. She is everything I am not, which is exactly why I hired her. She is super organized and full of energy.... total Type A personality. I've had one meeting with her (per the "This is It" package) and she blew me away with her wedding know-how and decor ideas. You can really tell she is a pro at what she does. It definitely takes a certain personality to do what she does, and she's got it. She has a "take charge" attitude that leaves me feeling relieved and at peace. It is really nice to know that all the little details on the day-of will be taken care of. Yes, Day-of-Coordinators are expensive, but if you shop around, you'll find that Soleil Bliss is one of the more reasonable packages around town (or out-of-town.... she's traveling 2.5 hours for my wedding). Do yourself a favor and buy yourself some peace of mind!! It will be worth every penny! At least I hope it will. Seeing as my wedding is still 3 months away, I'm not really in any position to evaluate her performance/services during an actual wedding. But I've been so impressed with her so far, I just had to write a review. I'll update this after the big event!!
I had the pleasure in having Candace be apart of my once-in-a-lifetime wedding. She was more than just a wedding decorator.. she was my lady in waiting. ♥ she was there for me every step of the way. Hayden was an absolute LIFE SAVER during the whole planning of my wedding and bridal shower!! My engagement was 6 months of almost constant stress. She was always there to help me get through each important decision when it came to the wedding. Whenever I didn't know what to do, she would quickly help me find a solution. She even made my wedding cake and cupcakes (& they were DELICIOUS)! She did a ton of research and made me the cake of my dreams! Everyone thought we had a professional wedding cake maker design and make our cake. She also planned my entire bridal shower which was only a few days before the wedding. Every detail from food, drinks, decoration, and games was thoroughly planned out. She made all the decorations and food herself. There were pictures of all my loved ones and friends with me all around the shower, which warmed my heart. She made the event fun, sentimental, and comfortable for not only my young friends but also my family and soon-to-be in-laws. Everyone loved my bridal shower and had a ton of fun! I would DEFINITELY recommend Hayden as an event planner!
Abby did an awesome job of guiding me through the craziness of wedding planning! From helping with my wedding budget to decorating the day before, Abby really gave me peace of mind before my big day. She took time to go through exactly what my fiancé and I wanted to happen on our wedding day. And on my wedding day, she was there to make sure everything went smoothly and was on time. I know things could have been extremely stressful, but she had everything covered, so I could enjoy my wedding day and take in everything. I got married early in December in the Bg Sur area and couldn't be more validated in our decision to hire Axe & Wedge for the aesthetics and floral for our wedding. She checked all the boxes in what we were looking for in a event designer. Punctual and prepared. Helpful and absolutely charming. Floral arrangements exceeded what we had in our imaginations for our dream wedding. And the cost was nothing short of inadequate compared to the result of their hard work.
