He did a awesome job painting our master bedroom, we will hire him again! Professional and honest
Oh where to start. Everything was excellent from start to finish. First off, the workers who came to demo, they got the job done. Cleaned up after wards in the master bath when their part of the remodel was done. They worked quickly but efficiently to have the area ready for the plumber. ( think I if I remember was next). Anyways he removed and caped off what wasn’t needed. Then added in the new plumbing that was required for what was needed for the new shower. Then the electrician came. There was a GFI electrical for the jacuzzi we wanted gone. But I wanted to save it to add another electrical outlet where there wasn’t one. So he did that. We wanted a LED pot light over the new shower so that happened. He noticed ( this house was built/ we bought new in 1994) that this master bath electrical outlets next to the sinks weren’t not GFI. So I asked him to correct that issue. Much safer now around water. We also had him install a LED pot light over the tub/shower combo in our guest bathroom. Also upgraded the electrical outlet to GFI. I’m very much into safety. The dry wall was put up and then the shower was started. We got rid of a tub and wanted a large walk in shower with all the extras. The timing of the shower and floor was done by one person. The shower pan was done by another person. The plumber installed our new faucets and toilet. Plumber is to returned to finish our shower. But as far as A&C Innovative goes. We are very pleased with their work. They cleaned up the master bath room before they left for the day. Now my husband and I have the fun part of doing the remodel we’re are physically capable of. I’m definitely going to hire again for other future projects. A+++++ in my book.
Hire him! He's fast, respectful and takes the time to give you options and results. In fact, we even hired him for another small carpenter job he was that good.
This review has been a long time coming. My wife and I bought a dump and slowly remodeled it over a few years. Then, I found out I got my dream job in Austin TX, and we had to sell our house FAST. Only one tiny problem - it wasn't finished! That's where Eric with Fresh Painting and Remodeling came in. Eric gave me a very reasonable estimate for installation/painting of baseboards throughout the entire house and installation/painting of a few interior doors. I'm far too exhausted to post pics, but suffice it to say the baseboards looked fantastic. Our house had 5 offers, all above asking price, within 60 hours of going on the market. I would say others thought Eric's work was good to say the least. In addition to fantastic finish carpentry work at a very reasonable price, Eric was especially courteous considering our 2 month old baby. Several times he went out of his way to help. For example, he completely finished the baseboards in our master bedroom first so that we would have a place to let our baby sleep. At one point, he even took 3 trips to the garage to recharge his air compressor just so that he wouldn't wake up the baby. I can only hope I find a contractor in TX that I trust this much to do good work at a reasonable price!
Serra Development remodeled our master bathroom. The plus side is - as one of our sons exclaimed - "Wow! This looks like a bathroom you'd find in a fancy motel." The down side is it took, in total, three weeks.
Ed is a master craftsman. He took my 90 year old Duncan Phyfe dining table and, without sanding it down entirely to refinish it (the cost wasn't warranted) he worked it and worked it until it looked like the elegant piece of furniture that it was decades ago. The table really was quite a mess. He hand-filled each of the 300 dings and dents with lacquer -- sometimes by dipping a needle into the medium then delicately working it into the ding. I was astounded by the transformation, and utterly grateful for the care Ed took. I highly recommend Ed Reinstein for any kind of fine woodworking need you might have. Janet B.
Progressive Brushworks owner, Duane, is a true master painter and carpenter. My girlfriend had heard about Duane & his work from a co-worker so we decided to hire him to paint our entire interior and then he performed miscellaneous other repairs around the house. It was nice to hire 1 contractor to perform many different tasks. He was easy to talk to and dependable. I will hire Duane again. If your looking for an interior painter with superior skills, give Progressive Brushworks a call.
Chad and his crew are great!!! We recently had a master bathroom remodel. The job was done on time and on budget. They were prompt, courteous and cleaned up each day. We have also had them build a Trex deck and glass railing in our backyard. It is really beautiful. We would recommend Chad and Start to Finish Construction to anyone. Their service was superb.
We hired John to remodel our kitchen, porch, master bed & bath. Our experience was great, everything went according to plan and we stayed within our budget. We absolutely love our new home, thanks again!
Fantastic! Dave is a very talented carpenter. We highly recommend him.
I first used DeMarco Builders in 2004. Joe DeMarco and his crew were remodeling the house next door to mine and were going to flip the house. I was so impressed with their attention to detail and the finished house. At the time I was looking for a contractor to add a master bedroom and bathroom and to do some other repairs to my home. After seeing Joe's work I hired him to do the work for me. In total, I added 450 sq ft, revamped my old bathroom, and reconfigured the existing 2 bedrooms, and added a small deck. I was and am thrilled with the finished product. Joe and crew worked quickly and gave me the house I wanted. Fast forward to February 2016, I needed my house painted, a window moved, the deck enlarged, and most importantly, my non functional kitchen gutted and rebuilt. I knew that Joe had returned to the Portland area and I was disappointed that he wasn't available to do the work. I contacted him for for some recommendations and he just said, "What do you need done? I will be back in the Long Beach (CA) area for some other business and I would be glad to get the work done for you." I was thrilled! He started on May 2, 2016 and on June 2 everything was done. My old kitchen was small, had only 2 cabinets and little to no counter space. It is still small, 12'x7' wall to wall but the difference in functionality is huge. I really didn't know how to make it work but Joe did! I always say I went from a one butt kitchen to a two butt kitchen with no additional space. Joe really wants to make his clients happy and to give them a finished product that exceeds expectations. He has done that twice for me and I cannot recommend him enough.
Zach and his team of talented carpenters constructed a beautiful roof cover over my 10x12 deck off the back door! Simply stunning with great architectural elements!
After receiving multiple bids for a master bath remodel we decided to go with DNA Kitchens and Baths. We were initially impressed with their responsiveness and they gave us an estimate that we felt was very reasonable for what we were trying to achieve. Throughout the project the team was professional and there was good communication if issues came up that affected design choices etc. The bathroom was completed within budget and the final product looks fantastic.
I have numerous rental units around the Portland metro area and I have used David throughout the years. David is thorough, personable and reasonable with his rates especially since there are always adds to the "basic" jobs. David has performed various jobs ranging from roofing, shed building, siding, painting (always with turnovers) and complete kitchen and bath remodels. David has been resourceful as he takes his work home by shopping for the best deals for me and always works with my budget limits. Can't go wrong with David. It helps that he is college educated (masters degree I think) and is presentable unlike some contractors that I have hired. All in all you can't go wrong with David and I was happy that he asked me to write this review for him.
JR replaced our 20 year old laminate countertops in kitchen and master bathroom with new granite countertops and new undermount sinks. He also removed a big mirror (4' x 8') in the master bathroom that was glued to the wall. He and crew showed up on time and did a professional job and he was easy to work with. I had been dreading the kitchen renovation so I had postponed doing it for almost a year, but JR made it go very smooth and simple and quick because he knows what he's doing and he makes it work! The new white/black countertops look beautiful with the white cabinets and all my houseguests have commented on how much better and updated the kitchen looks now.
Clint MacKenzie is an amazing craftsman. Whether it’s laying down tile with flair, or having to rebuild an old bathroom that had literally disintegrated – he is a master. He seems to have an unique mix of skill and artistic vision. I was impressed by his total confront “can-do” attitude no matter what our old home threw at him. Clint shows effortless competence and integrity in his work. I can recommend him highly. M Monroe
Great guy. One of the best carpenters I've worked with in the U.S.
We remodeled a recently purchased 1970's home. We raised the living room floor, removed a raised floor in the master bedroom, replaced all the floors with hardwood, moved the washer and dryer to a different location, installed recessed lighting, changed all of the interior doors, changed an interior cedar wall to an amazing feature wall and painted the interior. We used IBI as the contractor for our remodeling. The quality of work was excellent. The work was completed on budget except for change orders that we made during construction. When changes were needed we received bids, negotiated the work to be completed and electronically accepted the changes before any work was done. The workers on our project were excellent and professional. They continually asked us questions to be sure the work was done to meet our needs. They gave us advice and helped us make the right decisions. They were pleasant and made the experience fun. We weren't living in the house when the project was done, but we never felt uncomfortable about leaving knowing that the workers were going to do the right thing. We learned to be patient as there were delays. Sub-contractors were not always available, IBI had other clients that had deadlines that needed to be met; however, we had regular communications on reasons for delays and when they anticipated completion of tasks in the project. We have recommended IBI to friends and IBI would be our first contact if we need a contractor.
Kamanski Construction is a group of very talented carpenters that take great pride in their work.
We had a general remodel to our master bathroom that we contracted Stuart to do, and we are very happy with the end result. He installed our tub/shower, hung and painted our drywall and installed a bathroom fan. We especially appreciated that he was reliable, courteous, and left the bathroom clean when he was finished.

The generational blood line of craftsmen of my forefathers gives me the gift of seeing deeper into the heart of wood. I look at each piece of wood so that the final product comes together like art work. I keep my business small--myself--so that I can give each client a more in-depth attention to understand the project and make it happen with an eye to detail.
