Been a member at Foster Fitness for 20 years. Its a great place to work out, whether you are just getting in shape or doing serious training. There is a wide variety of machines and treadmills, along with plenty of free weights. Everyone is chill and friendly.

Anyone looking for a neighborhood gym where you can feel connected to their community would do well to check out Foster Fitness. Its a local spot owned by someone who lives in the area, and its been around for decades. If youre looking to be a regular and find the modern, gym version of Cheers, this place is for you. Some of the high points of this gym include the community, the resident cats, that its pet friendly, and its variety of equipment. My minor complaint is the dustiness of the facility, but you should be showering after your workout anyway.

Foster Fitness is the best gym in Portland, hands down. You'll make lifelong friends here, the equipment is fantastic, and there's cats to pet between sets! When I'm traveling and have to go to other gyms for a few days, I'm always reminded how special this one is. Come here, tell the owner to give you a free day pass, and pump some iron. If you see a 20-something guy named Rory, say hi.

Love Foster Fitness! Your friendly neighborhood gym for the last 40+ years! Very unique gym with an old school vibe and pet friendly!!! All the trainers are super knowledgable and owner Noel is the best, he's trained multiple bodybuilders that have turned pro and even competed in The Mr. Olympia show! A supportive atmosphere where I've met so many great people and built some really good friendships! So if your looking for a close knit gym family and to train around and learn from amazing people, Foster Fitness is the place to go!

I've been training at Foster for about a year and a half. I've been to big chain gyms, but always felt out of place or that I didn't fit in. Foster is a great, local neighborhood gym that is the complete opposite of what I felt at the other gyms. Plenty of equipment (cardio machines & free weights too) to use. I rarely have to wait for a machine or change my workout, because it is never too crowded. I love that there is AC especially in the summer, and there's a garage door on the side entrance for when it's nice out. Management and trainers are great, always willing to give you a few pointers. Plus the clients who workout here are so welcoming. Great place for experienced lifters or new beginners.
