Welcome to Albert’s Piano Studio. I’m a Portland-based pianist with over a decade of experience in performance and music education. I’ve studied more than three hours of advanced-level classical repertoire and performed in over 50 live events — including audiences of more than 2,000 people.
I’m currently training under Aaron Petit, Steinway Top Teacher and internationally awarded concert pianist. My background includes earning third place in Oregon’s State Solo and Ensemble Competition, and years of mentorship alongside a diverse range of educators and peers.

Albert is friendly, patient, and easy to work with. The lesson felt low pressure and I was able to go at my own pace. Albert provided a series of helpful exercises I can work on to build my tremolo control, as well as fine control of dynamics. I was also interested to learn about the graceful watery textures like in Ravel's "Jeux d'eau." Albert took the time to explain in a holistic way, from how to efficiently press the keys to how the piano hammers respond, and with some fun metaphors to help the details stick. I would recommend Albert to any upper beginner to intermediate level students looking to increase their range of expression and piano technique.
