Chris at PortlandArt Installation was quick to respond to my Thumbtack request for help hanging artwork in our new home. Over two days he worked with us to display our pieces in their best locations. He was patient with changes, and made the whole process very easy to accomplish, and his price was reasonable. Arrived on time; went to work; hung 50 pieces in 4 hours. He made a couple of good suggestions (which I took); thoroughly professional.
Chris was AMAZING! He was incredibly responsive before he even showed up, and when he did, he was perfectly on time. My project was pretty straight forward -- here are pictures, I need them on these walls. I cannot do math, space things properly, centre anything, and certainly not see straight.
Chris moved around the house quietly and did his thing. Everything looks perfect. 10,000 times better than I would have done. The job took a little longer than anticipated, but I honestly figured that it would coming in, so his quote was not off, I just had arrangements that would have taken anyone extra time. I was prepared for this.
When I was looking for someone to hire for this job, most everyone that offered to hang things on walls was willing to mount a TV. When I saw the portfolio for Portland ArtInstallation I knew that this was the perfect person for the job. I knew for the most part how and where I wanted things, but he provided his opinions on height, spacing, and even my one large arrangement which I had been unsettled about, and I told him to go with them.
Everything looks great and I couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Chris to come into your home with his hammer, nails, and levels, and let him make you smile after you're gone as you admire your treasured art or family photos. He was well worth any price. Thank you, Chris!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
One rate Installation = $95/hr for anything and everything.
*All installations include basic mounting hardware (screws & drywall anchors). Specialized hardware (concrete anchors, lag bolts, wire, cable, rope, z-strip, security hardware) is not included and will be billed additionally.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a feel for the customers expectations and do a walk through on larger jobs. I'll explain what I'm going to do and how I'm going to do it. Answer any questions. Get to work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Real world on the job training. Over 15 years of experience installing all types of art and fixtures in some of the nicest homes in America for several different Interior Design companies. An artist's eye for perfection.
