Hi, I’m Oxana — a fashion designer and textile artist based in Beaverton, Oregon. I teach at the student’s home or at a community center studio. What I teach: • Sewing on a machine — from basics to making your own garments • Clothing alterations • Sewing and working with silk fabric • Textile exploration and design • Garment design and construction • Knitting (needles and crochet) — beginner to advanced, including seamless sweater knitting • Upcycling — turning old clothing into something new • Creating your own fabric from scratch — a unique skill from my textile art practice • Helping moms sew clothes for their kids from their own old clothing — an easy, pattern-free approach that’s especially popular with young moms I also lead my own Fashion Design Camp for kids ages 8-11. I take an individual approach to every student, adjusting the pace and method to how they learn best.
