About Us: We are Maite & Matt, proud owners of Movemaker Northwest and local Portlanders. We moved our family across the country a whopping 7 times in the past 5 years, and learned the hard way why this process can be so stressful. We aim to take the worry out of moving and have made sure to hire team members that are friendly, professional, and efficient. We're a small company and intend to stay that way. We're always on call to answer questions and pitch in (my husband that is) when the job could use some extra muscle. What we do: Labor-only moves Packing services ✅ Our rates include: Disassembly and reassembly of furniture Hand trucks and dollies Heavy items up to 300 lbs 💵 Pricing (2-hour minimum): 2 movers $110/hr $2/mile mileage fee from zip code 97212 to your location $1/mile in between locations! Each additional mover — $55/hr No stair fees We pay for every time a prospective customer makes an inquiry so please be sure you are comfortable with this pricing before reaching out or contact us another way ;-) Past Experience: We worked with Hireahelper.com for years as a provider and did over 600 moves with them earning 200+ 4.9star reviews (see photos!), but they treat their providers absolutely terribly and also take 30% of our earnings. We're hoping to move over to Thumbtack permanently!
