About

I love teaching, and I maintain a studio with the Portland Music Collective. I believe that anyone can sing, and that classical technique is the foundation to any kind of singing, whether opera, musical theater or pop. I teach with warmth and enthusiasm, providing my students with a supportive environment to do their best learning. When I'm not teaching, I perform with Portland Opera, Seattle Opera, Oregon Mahler Festival, Cult of Orpheus, and Opera on Tap Portland. Due to COVID-19, I'm offering lessons remotely at this time via Zoom. It's a great way to start with voice lessons, in the comfort of your own home! I look forward to meeting in person when guidelines allow.

Sadie was wonderful! I had my first lesson with her last week and I was thoroughly impressed. I am in my 60's and arrived with almost no singing experience & nervous. She immediately created a safe and engaging space where I felt free to explore my voice and actually sing! She met me where I was in each moment and then took me a bit farther into new territory so effortlessly - and with a lot of humor and warmth. I'm looking forward to many, many more lessons. She's a gem!

Sadie is extremely knowledgeable and talented. She is super-enthusiastic and is able to make my awkward and shy teenage son relax and have fun with his voice lessons!
