Katie did an amazing job with our engagement and wedding photos. We couldn't be happier with the process and the results. I've never worked with a professional photographer before, and she far surpassed all my expectations. The photos look stunning, and she captured our personality perfectly. I'm not a particularly photogenic person, I rarely like the photos taken of me, but she somehow managed to make me look great! She conducted the shoots with diplomacy and skill, directing us and giving suggestions when we were lost, and making our crazy ideas work when we had them. She worked very efficiently and produced more gorgeous photos than I even expected. She was a true professional, and a delight to have at the event; everyone enjoyed her presence. Many guests who have commented on the photos have mentioned how many beautiful, unexpected details of the space and the day she captured, and how incredibly impressed they were with her and her work. I really can't recommend Katie enough. Our wedding was better because she was part of it, and the photo memories we have of the day are just exquisite. In short, HIRE HER! :)

Katie Dessin spent a full hour with me taking photographs in various nearby locations - in the rain. She talked with me to find out aspects of my personality to incorporate into the photographs. I know she spent a great deal of time later selecting the best photos and making the photographs amazing. She presented me with multiple photographs earlier than I expected to receive them. I had fun while she was taking the photographs and I have received many complements on them. Katie managed to capture my personality in the photographs. All the photos she provided me were flattering and beautiful. The next time I want to have photos taken, I will hire Katie.

Weddings start at $2600, and Engagements start at $350. Hourly rate is $350, travel is included in packages up to 60 miles.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a kid, I told myself I would never have a desk job. Before I finished elementary school I was an actor, painter, writer, and director. If it was creative, I wanted to try it. However, it wasn't until 2008 when I took my first film photography class, that I would discover the career I was truly made for.
