Introduction
I understand the very fine line between a wedding as a "party" and a wedding as a "solemn moment of commitment." And it shows when I officiate at a wedding...there is laughter and fun, but also a recognition of the seriousness of the moment. I love helping people...and walking with people through the transitional events of life.

Doug officiated at my daughter's wedding last summer. He was the best! He injected enough humor with the seriousness of the vows being made. I would have Doug officiate at my wedding, if I was to get married again!!! THE BEST!!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I wouldn't consider my pricing system particularly complicated, but you can see my fees on my website.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I became a wedding and funeral officiant because, when I was a parish minister those were the events at which I excelled. I discovered I have a real gift for weddings and funerals/memorials...and after leaving parish ministry, decided to put my gift to work.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Your wedding is YOUR day... Make it a celebration...have fun...be serious when necessary. And hire someone (like me) who will connect well with you...who has enough experience at this to function as officiant, wedding-coordinator, music coordinator, anything that is needed on the day of the event. I guess most of all I'd say "I'm your guy"...well, at least for the wedding and any rehearsal beforehand...
