Happy and Handy was hired to refresh our raised garden beds. After several years of diminishing vegetable plants that began to look unhealthy, we went on Thumbtack to seek a gardening expert. We found one with Happy & Handy. She knew exactly what our issues were. She quickly secured the soil amendments. She then treated the beds in a very quick manner and as talked to us, she provided very useful information. Her quote was very very reasonable. You guessed it – we hired her. We will continue to use her for all our gardening needs.

I needed help putting my fall patio garden to bed for the winter. It's a fairly large one with several trees, a few shrubs, rose bushes, an apartment hedge, lots of pots and a few wooden boxes, one of which was coming apart. She was so handy, repairing that box for the jasmine and making it attractive again. She also dug out a rose bush. Timely, conscientious work. In mid-March Lisa put in a very beautiful, free-form slab walkway into my patio from the main sidewalk. (Photo to appear soon.) She went to the rock slab yard and picked out the perfect ones for the project and drove them over. Then she tested the depleted soil here, developed a compost plan, and dug up a few plants that aren't happy here, which she took with her. She fixed the jasmine box again, too. Just really helpful and works hard.

Eager Beaver made our messy backyard look great. We weren't sure what we wanted, and Lisa offered some great solutions. They cleaned up our pergola and mortared two large stone patios and a walkway. The rates are reasonable, they are easy to very easy to work with, and we're very happy with the results. We plan to work with them again.

Our two co-owners have worked as private residential gardeners and landscapers in Portland, OR for over 4 years. We bring a wealth of plant knowledge and experience tending gardens, improving landscapes, planting, and installing retaining walls, patios, paths, and irrigation systems. Our two co-owners each also have college education in the sciences, including biology and landscape-industry specific coursework.
