HARP The Healing Arts Resource Project

Introduction: HARP is a community health and education center. We provide resources for affordable health care services and community education. HARP is a place where people can come to share and learn from each other through workshops, ongoing classes and events. We have about a variety of topics that are divided into 4 categories which are healing arts, visual arts, movement arts and community arts. We have also created a tea bar/herbal apothecary where you can come use the computer, talk to an herbalist, read from our library and be a part of our community! The healing arts at HARP involves monthly integrative health clinics where practitioners from a broad spectrum of modalities offer their services on donation. We also host herbalism classes, medicine making workshops, make our own line of body care and aromatherapy products and are the home of The Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine. In the visual arts section, we have a studio full of ceramic, glass and metal equipment that we teach community classes out of as well as offering open studio time where people can come to have access to the tools in the shop. For movement arts, we offer a schedule of yoga, martial arts, improve-movement and meditations all on an affordable sliding scale. Then, for the community arts, we host events and hold potlucks, movie nights, massage trade skill shares, natural building and sustainable living workshops and more!
