Dennis and Artem did an excellent job removing our old hot tub. They were easy to communicate, arrived right on time, and got straight to work—even on a very hot day. Before the job, I sent multiple photos of the items I needed removed. They responded with a price, and I agreed. They showed up and loaded everything, but after loading it, he said it was more than he expected and wanted to double the price. I told him that wasn’t acceptable and that he should’ve communicated any changes before doing the work. He admitted it was his fault but still insisted on charging more.
After going back and forth, he said he’d lower the increase but still demanded an extra $180 over the original quote. I understand that quotes can change, but not without notice. He claimed he didn’t see one item in the photos, so I offered to have him take it out- but he then said all of it was more than expected. At that point, he should have walked away or clearly stated the new price before loading the items.
To make matters worse, he then stood in front of me and insisted I leave a 5-star review on the spot while he watched. I felt pressured, scammed, and completely taken advantage of. I’ve since asked for a refund of the overcharge, but he has ignored me.
If you get a bid in advance, confirm the final price before they start. Otherwise, you risk having them load your stuff and demand more money after the fact. They did seem like nice guys but I did not appreciate the entire experience.
