Roman basically transformed our entire house! He painted every room inside (walls and ceilings) and the outside trim, as well as fitting in some roof maintenance at the same time. He put in new flooring in each of the bathrooms, along with toilets, vanities, and new light fixtures. He painted and installed baseboards thoughout the ground floor, including some quality touches where the edges were rounded.
When we moved to the kitchen, he installed each of our appliances (including mounting the new sink under the countertop). What was turning into an incredible (and expensive) headache when we were trying to set up a purchase of granite countertop ourselves was eased when Roman helped coordinate the purchase from quote to destruction and cleanup of the old formica counters to installation and fitting of the new.
I could probably go on to describe other quality touches but the bottom line is this. Roman understood our goal was to prepare the house for sale, and advised us what we should and shouldn't do to maximize our investment. He could have made more money off us, but was clearly concerned with our getting the most bang for our buck. The cost was reasonable and the bonus: he is one of the most detail-oriented people I have seen.
And a nice person too. By the time most people have finished with their contractor, there is usually a negative relationship because of dissatisfaction with the work, the pace, and/or the quality. Didn't happen with Roman.
