I cannot even put into words how much Nancy has helped me. I have known her for over 15 years and she has been a life coach for me through my toughest times and never gave up on me. She has done so much for me from helping me write papers to helping me through family struggles. She helped me quit smoking many years ago by helping me deal with my stress in healthy ways such as working out and making general healthier choices. I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for a life coach, a tutor, or a personal trainer! I am now a successful professional in the dental field and I feel like I owe so much to her!

Working with Laurel Airica has been such a blessing and eye opener when it comes to the written word. Laurel's work in editing is not just a job for her, but an immersion in the words that are written and how to make the best interpretation. Laurel has worked on a few of my writing projects and turned what was a nugget into pure gold.

Elissa Hare is an excellent tutor. She made my daughter feel welcome, at ease, and capable of accomplishing any task. We visited Elissa primarily for help with math homework and tests; she was always prepared for whatever assignment my daughter was given. If they ran out of math work to do, Elissa would not waste a moment of time. She would have my daughter digging through her backpack for other homework she could help with. Before going to Elissa, we had considered Sylvan or Kumon. Elissa, however, was able to provide more expertise, as well as a one-on-one environment that was far more suited to our needs.

In my entire experience of living in 8 countries, studying several languages, and attending as many universities, Tristan struck me as one of the most learned and sublime teachers ever. His ways of approaching the most intricate subjects is simply amazing. A truly eye-opening experience! I am really grateful.

About

I am a writer and editor with an BA in English and an MA in US History. I've been writing for exhibits and visitor centers for the past 15 years, and I'm currently editing novels, as well. I research, plan, write, and act as editor and proofreader for exhibits in museums, visitor centers, interpretive trails, and the like. I've completed over 70 projects for public and private clients. Since 2012, I have also been employed by Barking Rain Publishing as a fiction editor. Editing begins with development and content, followed by at least three refining passes at the work--ending with line-by-line proofreading. I hope my experience matches your needs.

About

I correct for spelling, punctuation, capitalization, scholarly tone, and flow and can also provide critical feedback on organization and strength of argument. I am a specialist in APA formatting and can handle all styles. If you are a nonnative English speaker, I can also make comments designed to improve your English writing. Whether you're looking to put the finishing touches on any kind of document or just need a fresh set of eyes on something, feel free to get in touch to discuss your project!

About

From a young age, I fell in love with the power of words to shape and inform meaning. I studied primarily literature, writing, and cultural studies in both my undergraduate and graduate programs. In my freelance work, I edit primarily academic and business documents, as well as web and advertising copy, for a variety of high-profile editing and proofreading companies. In addition, I also edit for independent clients seeking my services to ensure that their writing is clear, concise, powerful, and communicative of their intended style and message. As a professional editor, my particular area of preference is book-length manuscripts that require editing prior to being submitted to a literary agent and/or (self-)publishing. I will work with you to determine your specific needs, providing extensive editing using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word. Additionally, I utilize the Comments feature to provide detailed comments that are meant to strengthen your writing, point out discrepancies or areas in need of clarification, and offer suggestions. What distinguishes my services from other editors’ services is that I am available for Skype consultations to discuss any questions that you may have. In my editing work, I consider myself to be a true partner in helping to ensure that your writing is the most powerful, clear, and expressive that it can be, all while editing for grammar, spelling, syntax, and organization.
