Capital Chimney installed a wood burning insert back in 2009, It has worked fine and in 2011 I had them come out and clean it. I didn't have any trouble until recently. I had a company come out to clean the chimney and was told that they method the insert was connected to the liner that went up the chimney was the wrong type of metal and that instead of being screwed to the insert, there was cement. That is when my relationship with Capital Chimney went south. After speaking with them, they agreed to come out and look at the connection, but they missed their appointment without a phone call. Almost a week later they answered again and stated they would call me back to make an appointment that night, that was two months ago. Multiple phone calls and voice mails have not been returned. I am literally without options at this point.

Unfortunately I have to post at least one star to leave feedback but I would like to remove that .. I think they have horrible customer service. They not only installed my liner (incorrect sized one) but also got a brush stuck in my chimney then proceeded to apply chemicals and then tried to burn it out.. problem is it didn't work so then, they left it there!!!! I was told to light a fire in the wood stove and get it really hot so it would burn out the brush and handle. I have called several times and no one responds to my calls.. I will be seeing this company in court!!!

Phil and another worker called me the night I posted my review online. They agreed to come out the following morning to remove the brush from the chimney. When they arrived (an hour earlier than anticipated) they got right to work and had to remove the liner to remove the brush (which had ripped the liner and poked through). They finished the repair and the cleaning which was not finished due to the brush being stuck and reinserted the liner. They were very thorough and professional.
