Introduction: The most common adjective used to describe me is care. I care. I teach because I care. I tutor because I care. I do this because I care. I promise you, you won't find anyone who cares more :-). I became a teacher to challenge/change lives. I remember growing up and seeing my friends struggle with math in school and I loved to tutor them. I love a job that truly speaks what I plan to do with the rest of my life; i.e. teach others.

James has been a great asset to my son's education in math. I have taken him to a number of tutors who have not been able to get the same results that James does. He has been helping my son for two years now and I appreciate the genuine care and concern that he has for his students and those whom he tutors. He and my son have a very good rapport and I'm amazed at how quickly he helps get my son back on track when there are concepts he doesn't grasp. My son went from D's to B's and I owe it to James. Mr. O'Neal was the best teacher I've ever had, he made the class room comfortable, and he made sure NO student was left behind. He is the best at what he does!! If you need a tutor, you definitely want it to be Mr.O'Neal.

Mr Oneil pushes my kids out of their comfort zone to make them responsive to harder problems they face on test. Breaking the problems down so that sons understands why. My kids are better from his tutoring. I strongly recommend him!!!!!

You will get quality instruction from someone who loves what he's doing. Please ask to see me EVAAS growth for the past 3 years.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There's usually a time to get to know the student. Students feel really weird around strangers so I try to settle their nerves by reminding them that they are now a part of my math family!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently receiving my masters in curriculum and instruction from UNCC. I am the department chair at my school and I also run workshops for other teachers specific to math instruction.
